how's this for a source you can both trust?

Can you post a definition for the word "father" as it applies to a biological child - that you agree with?

The guy who provides the sperm.
in what sense is this an inadequate answer?

Both work for me personally but I want Wolfe's answer and I would like to see at least one credible source that he trusts - so I can maybe use the same source to respond.

that is absolutely ludicrous. Nwolfe35 gave an answer that is accurate and complete and that both of you agree with. there is no genuine reason to hold him up on this answer. i think you are playing games, you just want to be able to say "well, Nwolfe35 refused to answer my questions, so the interview is over and i win".

ludicrous.
Thanks from imaginethat, RNG and Sabcat

I provided a credible source on a previous answer. Your response was to question the credibility of the source because you didn't like what it said.

Disagreement with some atheists does not equate to hatred by most atheists.
I am not equating the two; just using them as an example

"...hurtful and dehumanising, hateful and violent...." is not language of a disagreement. When Meyer's made his despicable remarks about Robin Williams' death, he was generally hated by eveyone according to the responses. Meyers is the cockroach of a human race.

You are the one being ludicrous and you are trying to project that image onto me.

There is no "I win" aspect to a Q&A interview and this has not been a debate where a "winner" will be declared.

If he insist that I use his definition of biological father as "the guy who provided the sperm?" I will do so.

I didn't realize that the definition of "biological father" or parenthood was such a difficult thing to find any common ground on.

No where in that source did PZ Meyers define or explain "biological fatherhood"

No. My response was to point out how he was wrong to declare that the "person" (or personhood) is defined by the attributes that new organisms may temporarily lack.

I could so destroy this guy in a debate on this point.

If he were pinned down, he would have to admit / recognize the fact that a zygote of ANY species is an organism created by the union of a sperm and egg. And he would have to recognize that new organism is a "being."

In Humans, that makes it a HUMAN being.

I can not discredit him any more than he has been a discredit to himself.
