Greetings. I'll be brief. I'm a thinker, philosopher and professional writer with three children (aged 20, 16 and seven) who grew up in a bizarre, multicultural society ordained, separated and aggressively regimented by a minority group speaking a Creolised form of Dutch.
Since "democracy", things have changed radically - some to the good, but others not in the way that many of us would have wished for.
I raise this topic specifically because the mad, loving honeymoon of the Mandela years has worn off, and the pot needs to be stirred....
Bring your spoons, lick your lips, and come and warm yourselves by this contentious fire.

IMHO, it's going to take several generations for the 'Kafers', isn't that what they were called during Apartheid times, to get over their hatred of whites and to take a responsible/realistic hand in governing South Africa. Just look at America, the majority of blacks still feel inferior, and resentful, toward whites; and still rely on government entitlement programs for their subsistence, the blacks of South Africa need to accept responsibility for their welfare, seek an education, engage in politics in a responsible, realistic manner; they need to put the past behind them and move forward together with the whites as equal partners in creating a strong, stable, Republic.
This will not be an easy task. For instance say a farmer owns a large ranch or farm and employs many blacks and the government wants to take the farm/ranch away and distribute the property among many blacks; what will be the result; a lot of small, still poor black farmers, who have neither the means or knowledge to make the land profitable. What will happen to all he workers the white rancher employed?
