At last glance on the net, Trump still has 75 lawsuits pending. YES, that's 75.
The new president appears doomed to be distracted by his private concerns. Fortunately, a solution is within our grasp. Congress can pass a law that would put these kinds of civil actions on hold while President Trump remains in office. The law would have to provide that any lawsuit against a sitting president or president-elect, filed before or after he or she assumed office, would not proceed until the president left office. Isn't that great??
Not so fast. Such a law wouldn’t protect the president from impeachment or criminal prosecution, but it would ensure that Trump would not be distracted by civil litigation arising out of his personal life or business interests. WHEW.

As we have seen recently, Republicans seem to think that anything goes when a Democrat is in office but Republicans should all be treated with kid gloves. Back in 1996, every Republican in the country thought it was a great idea to allow the Paula Jones lawsuit to go forward because, hey, Bill Clinton was in the White House. If it wrecked his agenda, that was great. If it provided an excuse to impeach him, that was great too. And anyway, spending a few hours in depositions is no big deal.
Thanks from imaginethat and GhostRider

This saddens me if True. A word of mouth contract is null and void in civil court, it has to be in writing and signed by both parties and witnessed by at least two people other than the signatories who also have to sign. In the nineties when I was third owner of a company, we got stiffed for $9000 by a rich man who I did not trust but my partners did. I said sue him and they said anything under $10,000 is not worth suing for because the lawyers eat up all the money. I said I will go see him in person which I did in a fancy office and polished Georgia black marble board table. He said I will send the money and I said thank you and left. He never did send the money and we did not sue but never did business with him again.
