I could certainly identify with much of the post--didn't see Trump coming--couldn't believe that voters would buy what he was selling (although I don't think he did either). I've said all along that this election was a science experiment--from the beginning. Voters toyed with the "what would happen if...." AND then they thought 'oh what the hell'. Let's find out.
I think the author is right about transition and shifts--globally. The GOP tends to hang on to the past. IN fact, that was Trump's theme: Make America Great AGAIN. It was never about the future. It was always about fear of losing the past---our Christian traditions, our blue-collar jobs, a white MAN in the oval office, showing our strength to the world (DON'T mess with America). Trump invoked halcyon days of yore--the must haves: a pretty wife, a good job, a home, a couple of kids in Mayberry RFD.
But those days are gone--for good. Maybe Trump truly doesn't realize that and obviously the voters (this time around) thought they could hold on to something that is only found in history books.
Thanks from tristanrobin and GhostRider

Maybe things like this will get the voters attention: White House deletes military family support page. WH has also deleted issues pages on civil rights, LGBT rights, health care, and climate change in the minutes following the official swearing-in ceremony. Maybe Trump and the GOP were just kidding about governing/protecting ALL Americans??

Last night I was fact checking a story about Melania Trump advertising her jewelry on the White House website, that story turned out to be fake but in the process I came across this page on the White House site. I suspect Trump will also delete this page because it back fired on him yugely. Check out the thread I posted about the White House "People want answers" page, it went over the righties heads but I'm sure you will see the irony.
Trump's White House web site, the people want answers
