Here's the better source I was looking for. You and cacon must be referring to Trumpian alternative facts here.

From the NATO site:

Quote:
At the Wales Summit in 2014, NATO leaders agreed to reverse the trend of declining defence budgets and decided:

Allies currently meeting the 2% guideline on defence spending will aim to continue to do so;
Allies whose current proportion of GDP spent on defence is below this level will halt any decline; aim to increase defence expenditure as GDP grows; and will move toward the 2% guideline within a decade.

AND what is NATA?? Liberals aren't switching to anything. Liberals are explaining to the sheep a fact that obviously goes over their heads when it comes to the contract with NATO. I posted IN BOLD:.....the nation (Germany) owes it to the alliance to spend more on its own national defense.

Trump is NOT 100% correct. Trump's statement: “Nevertheless, Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!”
Germany DOES NOT owe NATO OR the United States 'vast amounts of money'. Germany paid the percentage owed for the defense they invested in. As of 2014 Germany was spending $39.4 billion on defense or 1.2% and THAT's what they paid into NATO. The USA spent $596.0 billion on defense which is WHY we pay more to NATO--a TON more. Now Merkel says that Germany will increase their defense spending, ergo paying more to NATO. Problem solved...which doesn't make Trump any LESS of a dweeb.
Doesn't anyone explain this stuff to King Tweet..before he BLOWS? OH that's right. HE knows more than "ALL THE GENERALS".

That's BY 2024.

How can you so consistently, so loudly and so proudly be completely wrong all the time?

If Germany has been underfunding it's obligation, who's been contributing more to make up for that loss of revenue? Would that be the US?

Probably will take a convention of the RW here to help caconservative figure out the math.
