Of the 28 countries in the alliance, only five, the U.S., Greece, Poland, Estonia and the U.K. meet the target. The rest lag behind. Germany spent 1.19% of its GDP on defense last year, France forked out 1.78%. NATO admits it has an "over-reliance" on the U.S.
It's time the US stopped overpaying to make up for the negligence of other countries. If 2% is the goal, then that's all the US should be paying.

No fuzzy math, just people to stupid to understand the totality of the agreement....that would be you...dufus!! They then made another agreement in 2014 to meet it by 2024. How's that reading comprehension coming along for you?! You do know the difference between 2006 and 2014 don't you.

There is no contribution. Do you really think that if the rest of NATO immediately upped their internal military spending to 2% of GDP, which is all that the agreement requires, Trump would cut the US military spending?

So dream on in your alternate universe.
Thanks from imaginethat and GhostRider

Cut our spending on our military, or cut contributions to NATO down to 2%? What does one have to do with the other? Our defense spending in no one's business. And yes, our contribution to NATO should be no more than 2%. What is Canada's contribution?

Do you understand the meaning of "failing to meet the terms of the first agreement"?

Fuck NATO, fuck the EU and fuck Canada too.

Close all international US military operations, bring home every troup and every bullet. Dissolve our relationship w/ NATO and form an alliance w/ Russia. Fuck them all.
Thanks from coke
