Who manufactures these bombs? How much do they profit when one is used and we need to replace it? How much stock does Trump own in that company? Was any of Trumps family involved in the decision to use this weapon and do they own any stock?
Thanks from GhostRider

You are thinking of bunker busters. The MOAB explodes slightly before it hits the ground. It is the huge shockwave that travels through caves causing the casualties.

The Pentagon announced that 36 Daesh were killed. No mention of any collateral damage.

I start getting suspicious of stories when the usual band of clowns (CNN) tell me over and over again all the things I know and have heard before, BUT don't tell me exactly what I'm looking for! On this one, I had to spend a few minutes clicking the mouse before he got me to a page informing me that MOAB is a mostly in-house project of the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in Oklahoma, and was designed at the Air Force Research Laboratory, and according to the vitals, the profit-taking contractors are there, but hidden from plain site:
Quote:
Employs 20 military, over 5800 civilians and 8300 contractor personnel
McAlester Army Ammunition Plant | Military Wiki | Fandom powered by Wikia
GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast | Military Wiki | Fandom powered by Wikia
And, each one costs about 16 million a piece...money well spent? Spam/spyware rightwing hack site Newsmax is carping about social media putting the story out that it cost 314 million (well, actually Newsmax can't even get that right! They're claiming 340 million)...regardless, that total cost is just as important as how much it costs to drop each one of these stupid things. Other analysts tell us that the physics of these super non-nuclear bombs makes no sense! Since it's an open air/not a burrowing ordinance designed to explode underground, the job of destroying everything within a certain perimeter could more effectively...and more cheaply be done by dropping a greater number of the equivalent smaller ordnance, and with much less collateral damage, since we were informed yesterday that blast effects of this device could injure and even cause death to people up to 2 miles away...so take CNN's bullshit story of "killing 36 Al Qaeda" with a gran of salt!

One of the Military.com stories on the bomb even noted the inflation of weapons being used in war now, pointing out that the average cost of bombs used in the Iraq Invasion was about $12,000 a piece. Maybe the silver lining of the story is that weapons of death will get so expensive, America will no longer be able to afford to conduct wars and invasions all over the goddammed place!

Cause you can guarantee that if the bombmaker has got the deep pockets of the US treasury to pay 314 million to them that they have been behind the scenes lobbying for someone/anyone to drop at least one...and maybe more, so that they can keep the production going and the money coming in!

The liar trump said he didn't order the strike, he is letting his "generals" make those decisions. (to cover his ass and blame others if it goes wrong) It's good that trump isn't making those decisions because he is the least qualified of anyone on earth to lead our military or make decisions of that magnitude but it's not good that the "generals" have the sole authority to make those decisions. The video I saw of the bomb drop showed it in very close proximity to a village, I suspect there was a lot of damage to the village which could have cost the lives of innocents.

One MOAB costs 16 million and we have 20 in our arsenal. That was a big waste of money if it only killed 36 bad guys.

A friend who seems to be very knowledgeable of military matters said that the MOAB cost $320 mil to develop and each costs $18 mil to build.

That $320 mil strikes me as being low. I saw a video about it on the BBC and it has a neat guidance system. Maybe it was borrowed from somewhere else so wasn't a large development const on its own, but that still sounds cheap for development of such a different weapon.

Also he tells me that is is much, much better at infiltrating caves and tunnels with a lethal pressure pulse. Many smaller bombs just don't have the same penetration ability unless they all explode the same instant.

He did not reference these things but seems to be right way more often than being wrong. I never could get him to give up his sources.

I believe it was 36 or 39 confirmed kills, not nearly enough to justify the money spent.

The BBC is now saying one Afghan government source as saying the deaths confirmed now number 90 while the CBC quotes another as saying 94.
