Trump defends 'absolute right' to share 'facts' with Russia

McMaster says he didn't. The deputy chief of NSA said he didn't. But of course, after denying and denying, Trump has to go and tweet that he did.

What a clown.

Quote:
US President Donald Trump has defended his "absolute right" to discuss sensitive material on terrorism and airline safety at a meeting with Russia's foreign minister.

US media reports said he had shared material that was passed on by a partner which had not given permission.

While this is not illegal, it is seen as a breach of trust by many in the intelligence community.

Mr Trump met Sergei Lavrov last week in the Oval Office.

National Security Adviser Denies Trump Leaked Classified Intel: ‘It Didn’t Happen’
"The story that came out tonight as reported is false," H.R. McMaster says of meeting with Russian diplomats

The White House was in full detail mode Monday as National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster dismissed reports that President Donald Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian officials during a White House meeting last week, calling the news “false.”

“The story that came out tonight as reported is false,” McMaster told reporters in a brief statement from the White House. “I was in the room, it didn’t happen.”

On Monday, The Washington Post reported that President Trump revealed “highly classified information” to Russian officials during the meeting. The information, which was provided by a U.S. partner, was apparently so sensitive, some details have been withheld from allies and restricted even within the U.S. government.

But McMaster flatly denied the report, which has since been matched by BuzzFeed and other major news outlets.

“At no time, at no time, were intelligence sources or methods discussed,” McMaster went on to say. “And the president didn’t disclose any military operations that were not already known.”

Trump admits sharing information with Russia about terror threat - LA Times

McMaster says Trump's talks with Russia were 'wholly appropriate,' won't say if information was classified

McMaster added that Trump decided during the conversation to share the information with Russia's foreign minister and ambassador to the U.S., suggesting that the White House had not planned to reveal it beforehand.

"He made the decision in the context of the conversations, which is wholly appropriate," McMaster told reporters.

Trump reportedly shared highly classified information with top Russian officials during a closed-door meeting last week, according to The Washington Post and others. Trump tweeted Tuesday that he did give the Russians information for counterterrorism purposes, noting that he has the "absolute right" to do so. Like McMaster, the president neither confirmed nor denied whether the information he revealed was classified.
McMaster calls Trump Russia talks 'wholly appropriate'

Listen to the video. All he is saying is that sources and methods weren't discussed. But he lied before, why should we think he's trying to tell the truth now?

Then the Trump lapdog tries to deflect to blaming the source of the leak. How pathetic.

So, trump lied when he tweeted that he did, and had every right to do so?

So, is Trump a liar, a criminal, stupid or a bit of all three?

No one said anything about Trump "disclosing MILITARY operations" but rather intelligence gathering information. So why is McMaster going on about "military operations?"
You don't need to discuss sources or methods to reveal something most would consider unwise for the Russians to know.
Once you know the WHAT it is entirely p;possible to fugure out the WHO and HOW of it.

It's going to get very difficult for Trump supporters/apologists. You have my sympathy. Pride does go before the fall. Hang on.

Which leaves our agents and their entire networks open to exposure.

One network leads to another, and that leads to another, and so on and so forth.

I can only imagine the panic in the field at the moment.

Sigh. The Trump haters can't even read straight, nor can they comprehend. Trump is correct, McMaster is correct. But the pure, unadulterated hate of Trump so blinds people. Really, a few of you just need to look at yourselves and realize how sick you are.

NEWS FLASH ...

New TRUMP OUTRAGE OF ALLIES. Trump said it is Tuesday, but it is Wednesday in Australia and elsewhere across the international date line. The allies are outraged.

Yeah, we all read that too. Is it you, or the rodent in your hands, that writes your posts?

And none of that happened.

Now the Washington Bezos, sorry, the Washington Post, has mentioned the country from which the alleged information was released. Yeah, they really care about national security at that rag.

Nobody has ever said that Trump broke the law - the President can declassify any information whatsoever that he wants to do so.

The issue is the ignorance and arrogance it took to do it.

Just how far over the line did he go when the entire world is aghast at TRUMP'S ignorance and arrogance - two well-documented traits of his.

He has surpassed himself.
