That Congressional insurance, is it within the ACA, or is it a private insurance? Those poor people, would the majority of them be illegal alien parasites we are forced to supplement?

Who or what regulated the healthcare industry in the U.S. in 1800, or 1850 for that matter?

Both.
The Constitution also did not address slavery. It was addressed later in the form of SC rulings and Amendments.
If I'm not mistaken the ACA was challenged in court and the SC ruled it was Constitutional and therefore legal.
That's what the function of the SC is.

How do you define the system in place before the ACA?

Not quite KupKake....What was decided in the SC was if the government can mandate that the individual must enter into a contract whether he wants to or not... That is still the bone of contention.....
Now go read Art.1 Sec. 8 USC....there are the 17 enumerated powers the Federal Government is supposed to be involved with..... I don't see healthcare there...
Thanks from Sabcat

You people are so confused....It is not about affordable healthcare....It is about affordable INSURANCE..... Can anybody explain to me why the Federal Government needs to be or even has the right to be involved with the Insurance of health care??

You have car insurance....free market.. You have homeowner insurance...free market.. You have life Insurance...free market.. All these function with little problems....But now we have health insurance that is breing controled by the Federal Government, and what do we have???...A Cluster Fuck... So why isn't health Insurance relegated back to the free market, just for starters??
Thanks from Sabcat

Don't be silly, the XIII Amendment to the Constitution abolished slavery in the U.S.

In other words, just because something was not allowed in the original Constitution does not mean that cannot be changed by an Amendment to the Constitution OR a ruling by the SCOTUS.

The name is Hollywood and not KupKake, just as you name here is not really dumbfuck.
