All these function with little problems....But now we have health insurance that is breing controled by the Federal Government, and what do we have???...A Cluster Fuck... So why isn't health Insurance relegated back to the free market, just for starters??
I don't think you understand what the term "free market" means.
Perhaps you should look it up.

Well, there's Jim! I was just thinking about you the other day. You must have been on vacation??
But now that you're back you want to chat about things the Constitution allows and doesn't allow?? I'd be happy to assist you with that.

I think you'd better give us YOUR definition of a free, open market.

Here's what Google says: An open market is an economic system with no barriers to free market activity. An open market is characterized by the absence of tariffs, taxes, licensing requirements, subsidies, unionisation and any other regulations or practices that interfere with the natural functioning of the free market.

What do you say it is?? Then we'll talk--maybe.

From its founding the US has almost never been a free market. The FFs put tariffs on trade very soon after the US formed.

Back when you could put anything in a bottle and sell it as a cure for anything.
That's the free market.

That went away when people sold cherry flavored anti-freeze as medicine for children, and the children died.

That's when the big bad government intervened and said "at least prove that something isn't toxic before you sell it as medicine"

And there goes the free market.....

Do you really want a free market in medicine?
Should Caveat Emptor be the rule when you have a sick child?

My congressman uses the VA, he's a veteran and he feels that he should get the same medical care that congress provides for all the other veterans, no more, no less.
He kills two birds with one stone, he gets his medical care, and he sees how the VA is doing, which is part of his job as a congressman.

Yes you can try to assist me with what the Constitution means....But, I have had far more informed tutors than you......My study of the times and the debates of the framing and ratification of the Constitution leads me to strongly believe that the US Constitution was a compact with the several States....It's purpose was to (a) provide security for those states...(b) establish a common currency...(c) regulate commerce crossing state's lines....Issues involving the citizens were the province of the States....or local governments....

And Yes...I am well aware of Davis v Helvering 1932....This thing has to be revisited...It was decided under duress and is the seed of out current $19 trillion national debt and $100 trillion debt of unfunded mandates....

btw....I don't get vacations....I have been busy working....I had an accident in March and have been very busy catching up....But thanks for worrying about me....

Good for him...what about the rest of empty nut-sacks that weren't about to be saddled with the ACA? If Congress passes a bill, they FIRST, should be subject to it!
