Disturbing Poll

From the Axios AM report:

Quote:
3. Why GOP leaders should be scared

Only one poll number to remember this week: WSJ/NBC finds that Trump has 98% approval with Republicans who voted for him in both the primary and the general.

Be smart: Don't underestimate Trump's power to do whatever the hell he wants and still keep his base voters. If they stayed with him through Charlottesville and "Access Hollywood," they're not going anywhere over a Beltway deal.

Trump has an almost magical hold on his voters. He makes regular deposits in the Bank of Base, and has a nice balance.
The poll: https://www.wsj.com/articles/poll-hi...am=top-stories

That is almost enough to make me lose hope.

Because their insecurities will never allow them to admit they were wrong. Just like climate change. They represent the knuckle draggers in American society.

So, why isn't the Democratic Party making deposits on their "bank of base," instead of sending out their henchmen and assorted underlings...who claim to be some kind of "resistance" attacking Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein and even Susan Sarandon yesterday for not supporting Queen Hillary and making Trump president!

The Democrats have decided that their base(a shrinking class of professional liberals) is all they need to win; but Trump's base...which appears to be 25 to 30% of the total voting age population is larger! And if the Dems can't appeal to anyone their corporate donors tell them not to, they can expect to lose again in 2020!

The attitude I find online in some of their rags and the statements of prominent Democrats on MSDNC make it sound like they just assume Republican support will fall so low that Democrats will win! That may have happened in 06, but I'm betting too many angry, increasingly indebted Americans are demanding something more to pay attention to the political process again.

Trump is doing exactly what he was elected to do. Taking on both sides of the DC establishment and turning Washington upside down. Lose hope for what? Economic growth is way up over last year, the job market is strong, laws are being enforced domestically, the national debt is down, we aren't meddling in Syria, Trump has sent strong foreign policy messages to both friend and foe, even racial relations are better, remember the rioting in Ferguson, Baltimore, and elsewhere.

Life is good in Trumpmerica.

PS, there are millions of blue collar Democrats in Trump's base, that is how he won.

There are three party's in D.C. now, Republican, Democrat, Trump.

The OP makes me laugh out loud, poor snowflake. Meanwhile, he has Turdeau.

The Democrats have nobody right now who can fight Trump.

Not because Trump is a good president - but because he represents the worst in the American society and has made it acceptable to present it to the public.

I don't know how we can beat him without sinking to his level of scum.

There's a reason The Three Stoogest are still on the air after all these years. You can never underestimate the American population.

Why is that scary we find out that Trump is a man that is willing to negotiate

We find out that trump is willing to fix all the Consitututional violations made by Obama and do things right..

We have found out he handles crisis domestic and internationally with excellence (NOKO, Syria, Russia) (Harvey and Irma)
That is relieving to me..

Yes they do, Hillary wrote a book, where she blamed Democrats..

You have Schultz that colluded with the Russians, and People in the DNC, Pakistasan, Committed Fraud and rigged the election.

You don't have to fight him, just join him and work with him like Chuck and Nancy are!

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

George Carlin

I don't find the poll all that surprising. You have to remember, 20 million of those that voted for him were evangelical Christians. For them to set aside their religious beliefs and vote for a man so obviously flawed morally, means they went "all in". They have "bet the farm", "gone for broke", "pulled out all the stops", sold their souls to a devil named Trump. They're almost cult like. They will never admit anything resembling buyers remorse on this one. They can't, they're too invested.
