Trump challenges Rex Tillerson to IQ test

I hope it happens.

Quote:
US President Donald Trump has challenged his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, to an IQ test, in the latest sign of discord between the two.

He made the remark in a magazine interview when asked about reports that Mr Tillerson had called him a moron.

"I think it's fake news," Mr Trump told Forbes, "but if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win."

Mr Trump is due to have lunch on Tuesday with Mr Tillerson.

Reports have swirled of a schism in the Trump administration between the commander-in-chief and his top diplomat, as the US faces a host of vexatious foreign policy conundrums, from North Korea to Iran.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that lunch.

My guess is that Kelly will be refereeing.

Few people know it, but there are two forms of IQ. One most people are familiar with: an intelligence quotient.

The other one isn't as well known. It's an idiocy quotient.

DJT would kick Tillerson's ass on that one.

IQs literally don't mean anything.

Most IQ tests are not truly any kind of measure of the kind of intelligence we think of as important (knowing "things"). It's the measure to which you are able to figure things out.

I don't think Trump is stupid. I think he's a vulgar, coarse, uninformed, self-important, thin-skinned, mean-spirited, vindictive, hateful, dishonest, two-faced, vicious liar.

But not stupid.

Arguably, to choose to be a vulgar, coarse, uninformed, self-important, thin-skinned, mean-spirited, vindictive, hateful, dishonest, two-faced, vicious liar you gotta be stupid.

Trump can read people, accurately judge people's reactions to situations and stimuli. That is another specialized subset of intelligence. I think that is the one more often referred to as cunning.

I don't think he is that good at connecting the dots in a lot of other areas.

There are all kinds of intelligence. IQ Tests are fine, but to get a complete measurement of our intelligence, we should take multiple intelligence tests on top of that.

We all know brainiacs who can astound us with their mathematical prowess--their basic or specialized knowledge--their memory/retention--their genius, but they can't tie their shoes. They can't articulate their thoughts. They can't function in a social setting. Their skill set is limited. They become misfits--at least to some degree.
Then there's the on-going discussion of nature vs. nurture---those who may not be mathematical geniuses but excel in visual arts, performing arts, interpersonal skills, communication skills, etc.
Usually, the most successful individuals have several gifts: intellect, interpersonal skills, articulation AND some type of artistic ability.

I haven't figured out the "genius" of Donald Trump and probably never will.

Just for fun!!! “It had been a while since he had taken an I.Q. test,” the source said. “He had forgotten there was a spelling section.”

I think the growing wave of Neocons and Neoliberals speaking out against Trump are doing it because the one public service he provides is a daily reminder that Meritocracy is a myth!
