Does the 2nd Amendment Make the 1st Amendment Moot?

Does the right to bear arms (the 2nd Amendment) render the right to assemble (the 1st Amendment) moot?

Does having a large assembly of armed people on two different sides of (often volatile) issues, make such a gathering a absurd notion in the 21st century?

I don't think so because the assembly representing the RW will be the only ones with guns and the only ones left standing. They will just shoot all the folks on the Left and claim it was justified because of their political sway.

We NOW have a nation where fringe Republicans would rather have their daughters marry a pedophile rather than a Democrat. We have a nation whose cultish RW prioritize their everyday activities by avoiding those they assume are left wing.....the butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker....the mechanic, the professor, the scientist, the yoga instructor, the librarian, the pediatrician, the entertainer, the quarterback.
The only good Leftys are dead Leftys.

Amazing isn't it? And sad, very, very sad. It is however endemic in the non-political classes. Those (for the most part) not involved in the political power stratus have been groomed to indulge in such baseless hatred.
Thanks from Sabcat

Doesn't the first amendment say the right to assemble "peacefully?"

The 2nd Amendment insures the effectiveness of the 1st Amendment.

Moot is a strange word that sounds like hoot. I think but not sure that moot means an argument that cannot be defended or untenable situation. Don't use moot on college educated people because that sends them into an uncontrollable mania and frothing from the mouth.
