Are the signatories...like mine(Canada) doing anything about reducing carbon outputs? Didn't think so! Canada's carbon output is actually increasing as our Obama-like Prime Minister tours the world to accolades of foreign leaders and liberal celebrities who want to have selfies taken with him!

So, call me a cynic, but I don't see any fucking purpose at all to these climate summits and signing documents, when they write in escape clauses that members can drive a truck through!
*as for Justin, environment is like aboriginal issues of late, where we have a leader who would make Obama and Bill Clinton look like amateurs when it comes to emoting concern and even tears in public for those who are suffering/while continuing to make all the necessary backroom deals with resource developers and other corporations who continue to degrade and disrespect treaty lands that have NEVER been signed over to the nation of Canada to begin with! It's like a situation common in the world where small, impoverished nations are overrun and disrespected by the large and powerful! The only difference is the rightwing leaders proclaim their contempt for everything they don't support, loudly and openly, while the liberal leaders say one thing/and do another!

You will notice that there is no link or even source listed for those bullshit graphs which have been debunked many times before but he keeps dragging out, just like his joke 0.03 degree claim.

I've been a member of forums, right wing forums to be clear, that simply wouldn't allow people to post stuff that had previously been debunked.

(the globe has been in a warming trend for ~110-120,000 years when the last REAL ice age ended) with periods of cooling and warming as the climate warmed.

if you notice over the last 400,000 years there have been 5 WARMING PERIODS which includes the current warming period... (the current warming period is the COOLEST of the 5.

Notice the CO2 levels are consistent with the warming and cooling periods and the variance of the climate as each warming and cooling cycles progress.
Using these graphs is a way to be “dishonest with the facts”.

The time scale used on these graphs is measured in 100,000 year increments.
The whole of human civilization is about 10,000 years or about 1/10th of the distance between two of the vertical lines. The CO2 increase because of human activity has taken place since the idustrial revolution which is about 150 years (call it 200 years to be generous and make the math a little easier). This means the area on this graph that covers the time period that shows human causation is about 1/50 of 1/10 of the distance between two vertical lines.

These graphs may be accurate but so what? The area that tells the story about MMGW is far too small to be seen (or even depicted) on these graphs.

The other thing that constantly amuses me is that deniers consistently claim that measurements made with thermometers from the 19th and 20th centuries are inaccurate, but when it suits their agenda will believe to a one hundredth of a degree a tertiary derived and calculated value from ice core data from one location on earth as gospel.

Well, unless that same data can be used against them, then it's totally wrong.

Canada's Carbon Tax Is Going To Mimic Alberta's Plan
HuffPost
05/09/2017
(excerpts)
OTTAWA — The federal government's plan to impose a carbon tax on provinces that don't do it themselves is expected to mimic the Alberta carbon program, including rebate payments sent directly to low- and middle-income individuals.

The Alberta model applies a tax on carbon generated by burning most transportation and heating fuels, except for those used on farms. It divides the tax revenue among income-based rebates to Albertans, a cut to the small business tax and investments in green infrastructure and renewable energy.

A price on carbon is part of Canada's plan to meet its international commitment to cut greenhouse gas emissions to 30 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030. Canada has to reduce its annual emissions by almost 200 million tonnes to get there.

B.C. has had a carbon tax since 2008 and it is now $30 a tonne. Ontario and Quebec have cap-and-trade systems, which cap emissions for big emitters and force those who exceed the limit to buy credits from those whose emissions are lower.

Ottawa's requirement is for all provinces to have a minimum price on carbon of $10 a tonne in 2018, rising to $50 a tonne by 2022.

The City of Calgary has replaced many of its streetlights with LEDs and decreased the number of streetlights.

The Province of Alberta which gets the vast majority of its electricity from thermal plants is rapidly converting coal plants to natural gas which decreases CO2 emissions by about 47%.

That is called Conservation but does nothing to prevent the natural Climate cycles (of which we are in a natural warming cycle.) Which may be in a pause or coming to an end and the beginning of the next cooling cycle.

Your crackpot denier cult myths are laughably absurd, as always.

"...the natural Climate cycles (of which we are in a natural warming cycle.) Which may be in a pause or coming to an end and the beginning of the next cooling cycle."

There is no "natural warming cycle" currently affecting global temperatures. That's a lie. Natural climate cycles were overwhelmed by the climate forcing created by human activities quite some time ago.

There is no imminent "cooling cycle". That's a lie. The excess CO2 already in the air and oceans would continue to warm the Earth for a long time even if all human CO2 emissions ceased immediately.

Virtually the entire world scientific community affirms that it is the unnatural and very rapid 45% increase in atmospheric CO2 levels that is causing the current abrupt global warming.

The Earth was in a natural COOLING phase since the Holocene Thermal Maximum around 5000 to 8000 years ago, until the Industrial Revolution several centuries ago when mankind's activities started significantly raising CO2 levels above the natural levels.

The Holocene temperatures peaked around 8,000 years ago. This temperature peak was associated with the perihelion phase of the Milankovitch cycles. That was when it is estimated that the natural cycle climate forcing was at maximum, including associated climate feedbacks. Since then the forcing levels have been slowly dropping and the temperature has been following the slope of forcing in line with the changes in the Milankovitch cycle forcing combined with system feedbacks. Recent significant changes in climate forcing due to human cause factors have produced a net positive forcing causing temperatures to rise. This is a departure from the natural cycle.
