Number of people living in the city vs poor blokes in rural areas?

Exactly.

If more people live in cities than in rural areas, than their lives and opinions and issues should matter more and who they vote for should count. Not MORE than the rural people - but equal, rather than less-than-equal as it is now.
Thanks from RNG

Bullshit.....The votes count equally within the state....whether you live in the city, or out in the grutz..... The states then vote for the POTUS, according to how the majority voted in that Sovereign State....
Thanks from Sabcat

If the Republicans opposed it, it was not passed

How many Republcians supported Obamacare?

How many Republicans supported the Stimulus Package?

How many Republicans Supported the Omnibus Spending Bill that taxed 1,700 billion dollars from Main street and given to Wall Street?

OOPS Athena if you don't know your history you are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.

And you have don't know a single member of the Shit family.. you don't know Jack, or Diddly,

So, you believe there is a population that consists of 5 wolves, and 2 Sheep. The wolves should decide what is for dinner?

No, the Electoral College has a factor based on the Population. the states with the Greater population get more voted (they get a vote for each house seat). each state also gets 2 votes, this is a balance for the smaller states to legitimate say in the process.

American democracy is failing. The courts are finally starting to notice.

Instead of framing the motion this way, why don't "we" (as a society) call a spade-a-spade and state that our modern societies are (overwhelmingly) not Democratic--even in principle. The term "Democracy" has come to mean a form of governance very different than how the term was originally crafted. Our systems of "Liberal Democracy" are an offshoot/branch-off from true Democracy as the Greeks understood it.

Furthermore, many areas inside of the "Liberal Democratic" systems are Oligarchic and/or Meritocratic in nature. So in what sense does anyone still claim the title "Democracy" to describe our system of internal governance--other than being indoctrinated into using the term?
