Even constitutionally protected rights have restrictions.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Where's the restriction.

Shall we start with the National Firearms Act of 1934? And on a local level we can go further back than that if you wish.

Laws designed to prevent citizens from exercising their 2nd amendment rights or unduly impede on the ability of citizens to excercise their 2nd amendment rights are inherently unconstitutional.

Is it a restriction or is it not?
Why has the National Firearms Act of 1934 not been declared unconstituional by the SCOTUS?

Consider some of these thoughts from social media:

+Isn't it strange how mental illness doesn't seem to massacre hundreds of people in Australia, Canada and the UK?

+If it's not a good time to debate gun laws when is?

+Was the shooter a Muslim, Hispanic, Illegal, Black, OR WHITE? If the shooter was white, prayers and thoughts should do it. Otherwise, we need travel bans, border walls, more cops and prisons.

+The next time a GOP candidate asks for your donation, send him/her a check made out to Thoughts and Prayers.....and no dollars. Be sure and include (in the memo line)--GOOD LUCK!

+Mass Shooting checklist: *Thoughts and Prayers *Argue over the semantics of definition of an assault rifle. *Argue over the semantics of definition of terrorist. *Discuss the benefits of the NRA's education program and non-profit status *Wait for the next shooting and start over.

+When the Framers wrote/approved the 2nd Amendment, they also wrote/approved the ability for men to own slaves. Time to move forward.

+Is this country THAT stupid? YES.

No, they know it was too. But the role of SCOTUS has deviated far from it's intended purpose.

Now you're just tap-dancing.
Face it, you're just an anonymous guy on the internet voicing personal opinions for political partisan reasons. Meaningless and irrelevant.

For political partisan reasons? But I'm not a Republican.
