Just because you don’t know/understand the evidence for evolution does not mean it isn’t there.

The evidence for evolution doesn’t need to be “beyond a shadow of a doubt” it just needs to be enough that it is beyond a reasonable doubt. The fact that evolution is classified as a “theory” means it has met that burden of proof.

Even more adorable when they quote Neil deGrasse Tyson. That one is a real chuckle.

Surveys conducted every two years by the National Science Foundation consistently demonstrate that slightly more than half of Americans reject the settled science concerning human evolution. They are not unaware that virtually all credible scientists accept the overwhelming evidence that we evolved from earlier species. They simply choose not to accept that consensus because it doesn’t comport with their deeply held beliefs. Many also embrace the absurd notion that the earth is only six thousand years old. Astonishingly, in the early 21st century, around a quarter of our citizenry seems unaware that said earth revolves around the sun.

Still pushing Hillary's campaign platform down the road, huh? You'll love the next seven years of President Trump...eight of Mike Pence...and eight of Ivanka. Ah, yes...justice served, cold.

Once again, for the intellectually challenged, science is based on EVIDENCE. Religion is based on FAITH.

Not knowing the difference (or not caring about the difference) is exactly the kind of ignorance the OP is talking about.

Fortunately we'll all be dead before you can inflict that lunatic horror on the world. Mrs Clinton won the vote against your imposed scumbag - keep it in mind.

Observing the rantings of the right wing on this issue always seems to evoke my memories of 1970’s movie “Planet of the Apes”. In that movie, the ruling apes had uncovered evidence that man preceded the apes and they did not wish for the masses to learn of this information. Therefore, the ruling apes declared the geographical areas that contained such evidence to be “forbidden zones” to which it was unlawful for the masses of apes to visit. That, my friends, reflects today’s right wing mentality.......

Fuck the Daily Beast and all their snobbish centrist-liberal columnists (now including Reagan Jr.)! Many voters don't know or give a crap about evolution or climate change because their lives depend on taking in enough money to cover the bills and hoping a medical emergency doesn't leave them in bankruptcy and shatter all of their economic dreams of a better life.

Dipshits like Reagan Jr. who never worked a day in his life, or his TV buddy- Bill Maher, are baffled as to why almost 40% of US voters decided to vote for none of the above by staying home, when given a narrow choice between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. True, many of the 38% who didn't count were crosschecked off the voter rolls, given provisional ballots that got tossed in the garbage later that night, used fraudulent voting machines that tallied unprecedented numbers of voters who waited in line but for unknown reasons did not cast a vote for president...hmmm, BUT where was Hillary Clinton or the DNC Dems demanding recounts or investigations of polling stations and calling for reform of America's undemocratic electoral systems? Not there, because only a very, very few Democrats (Tulsi Gabbard, Ro Kanna) are even talking about getting rid of this voting machine bullshit and returning to paper ballots...the low tech solution that leaves a paper trail of each vote, and is still used in Canada and every other actual democratic voting system. The only thing the Dems can blame it all on is Putin and any available Russians, because they can't blame the worst major candidate for president of all time, the corrupt ineffectual party leadership that can't wean itself off corporate cash and go after working class voters/instead of trying to coax centrist-leaning Republicans to join them.

Give these "stupid, ignorant" people dimwitted Ron Reagan is looking down his nose at, something to actually vote for and they'll do it!

*now excuse me while I go to 'task manager' to force my browser to shut down, since Daily Beasts' bullshit adware won't allow me to close that window!
