Of course, pointing out the speck in my brother's eye is my duty after I've removed the plank from mine. But I guarantee, actions speak louder than words, and that's a point lost on many professing Christians, and most evangelicals.

Yeshua in the Gospels warned against judging others, repeatedly. He laid down the standard: Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone. Then, he laid down another standard: Show compassion to a sinner. Ever so gently remind them to sin no more.

Galatians 6:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
Doing Good to All

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
We'd do well to keep these words in mind always.

John 12:46-47 NASB
I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
And he will. He has.

Matthew 7:21-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
I Never Knew You

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

I love scripture!

I believe Tristan has claimed to be a believer how does it say to deal with a sinning Brother.

Yes Judgement comes after death!

Your statement as written is a lie.
Sin is Sin, I despise all sin, especially my own, and pray for repentance daily. What sins of others are we pointing out over other sin?

"Sin is a sin, I despise all sin..."
Tell you what, I'll believe that bullshit from you people just as soon as I see as many "Christians" of your ilk outside of a Golden Corral buffet protesting the sin of gluttony, or outside a Pay-Day loan store protesting the sin of greed or usury, as I do protesting in front of a Planned Parenthood location or a Gay Pride Event.

Fair enough? I mean, a sin is a sin...right?
Thanks from Nwolfe35 and RNG

You're a sinning brother. In this case your sin is usurping the judgement seat from its owner. I'm trying to point that out to you.

religious right and evangelical are not interchangeable labels

Jesus in essence wrote the rules on judging, and how to deal with a sinning Brother.

You forgot especially my own!

Can't be everywhere at once, and a Golden Corral is Private property.
I am against all sin especially my own and repent daily in prayer, when you can say the same let me know. Now I suppose you will tell me how you were offended by something, someone did, at some Church, and how you stopped going.

LOL..looking at the posts of the RW Bible thumpers on this forum one could be led to think the ONLY sins you people protest are homosexuality and abortion.

Yep, so are Planned Parenthood clinics. That why people protest on the public sidewalk OUTSIDE.

YOU repent YOUR sins BECAUSE YOU believe they are sins. Instead of having to repent DAILY, why don't you just stop doing those sins?

Why the fuck would I tell you that???
Thanks from RNG

Oh, the number of times I have asked that. But isn't that the big draw of religion, christianity in particular.? Do all you want but once a week go and shout out I love baby jeebus and you are back in paradise.
