Most Of Rural White America Will Stick With Trump Until The Last Dog Dies

One of my union buddies calls them “the three Gs—God, guns and gays.” Among many, if not most, non-city-dwelling white Kentuckians, social issues trump—pardon the pun—economic issues like how to get and pay for health care. Like the rest of the non-urban South and Middle West, conservative, evangelical Protestant Christianity is the dominant faith among rural whites in Kentucky.

Even so, perdition is real to evangelicals. Hence, those the Good Book calls “the least among us” are willing to endure earthly want—ascribing privation to “God’s will”—for the prospect of eternal bliss in heaven. Conservative politicians like the avowedly evangelical Bevin and the ostensibly Presbyterian Trump understand fundamentalism, and they govern accordingly.

Completely illogical. Those are the people most likely to be harmed by trump policies.

Neither skews nor the dailykos realize that there are fifty states and that Clinton won fifteen and Trump won thirty-five. There are now thirty-five Republican governors, and the Democrat Party has lost over one-thousand state legislature seats since 2010. There are 3,112 counties in the US and Trump won 2,728 of them or Trump won 88% of the counties in the US.

Well, one thing I can guarantee for Democrats is: keep on following bad, stupid, uninformed advice from Democrat-sponsored blogs like Daily Kos and expect to keep on losing elections at all levels of government in America as you continue to try to peel off "moderate" Republicans and wait for the much ballyhooed demographic shift to make rural white votes obsolete!

Rather than try to understand the economic concerns and problems in rural America, the Democratic Party decided there's more money on Wall Street than there is in West Virginia anyway!

I can find a much better analysis of crisis in rural America from a British-based Trotskyist site WSWS, than I can from any Democrat-affiliated writers and bloggers:

Capitalism and America?s addiction epidemic - World Socialist Web Site
Capitalism and America’s addiction epidemic
25 February 2017

The drug epidemic affects all ages, genders and races. The overdose rate for the 55–64 age group has gone up nearly five-fold, while the 45-54 age group had the highest rate of overdoses overall.

Whites had the highest rate of overdose deaths of any ethnicity, more than double the combined death rate for blacks and Latinos. The overdose death rate for whites, which was lower than that of blacks in 1999, has more than tripled since then.

What is behind the shocking and tragic growth in drug overdoses?

The drug epidemic has been concentrated in former coal mining regions such as Kentucky, West Virginia and Tennessee, along with so-called “rust-belt” states such as Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania. These areas of the country have been hardest hit by decades of deindustrialization, mass layoffs and wage-cutting, beginning in the late 1970s and continuing ever since.

States either totally or mostly ignored by the Clinton Campaign, as they continue trying to blame the Russians for the fact that ignorance and arrogance was a force that reared up and bit them in the ass this past election!

As the article further notes, the drug crisis does not mirror liberal strategies of focusing on identity politics as noted in this chart:

Yep, which tallied to 76,000 votes in swing districts Obama carried the previous election.

I also know, which apparently you don't, that the 487 districts Clinton did win count for 3/4 of the entire GDP of the country, which also totaled 3 million more votes.

Oh, and in case you were not aware, they didn't stop having elections after this last one.

things change ,in this case with trump shooting himself in the foot almost daily that lead you are so proud of will disappear faster than it appeared.
many rural voters will stick with trump but the party won't .

I am having trouble finding the clause in the Constitution's electoral college clause regarding GDP and individual votes. Where is that clause and explain the Great Compromise to me as well. I seem to have a misunderstanding of it or the structure of our government.
