Does North Korea Want War?

Now that N.Korea has Shelved it truce with S.Korea, how long will it be before the real problem start WAR? After 60 yrs., they canceled the armistice agreement on Monday. The U.S.A. only have 28,500 troops in S.Korea, that can't be enough if war breaks out in the near future.

Its all smoke and mirrors and blustering. The North Korean army as a whole is ill equipped and is not in any shape going to attempt to cross the minefield and engage the South Korean military, backed with US land/carrier based air power. If the Chinese was involved again, maybe, and really really big maybe different story. Now, that nut bag might throw a nuke, but that would be like saying you want Iowa really bad for its resources and then nuking it..

North Korea is disciplined, but they really don't have any staying power unless a major world power (China) would back them with supplies and arms. Their people are starving, they are uninformed to say the least. Yes, they could make a vicious strike, but it would be short lived without any help. As you pointed out, I do not think that they could nor do I think they have any illusion that they could take Seoul in one strike if the intent was to unify the Korea's. Now if the intent was to just destroy, ok we did let that idiot get a nuke..but again, as much as he is a wack job, there would be no gain in nuking South Korea

If they have a 1 nuke (how many men are in a Carrier Group) Marines and sailors etc...

1 bomb 1 carrier group gone. kaput...

This is why we did not want them to have the Nukes..

Don't forget that North Korea is run under the greatness of Kim Jung Ooooooooooon. Therefore, a significant threat really exists.

He just may be suicidal enough to push the button if defeat is at hand.

this is a long running strategy of n korea, they have played this over and over so many times i 've lost count. they get huffy , act like they're gonna make trouble and wait for the americans to open the check book and buy them off. this has always worked for them, and it will work on obama too.
Thanks from roastpork
