What a beautiful country.
I happened to have met an Iranian man 14 years ago who sold pre-owned cars for Nissan. He had a good heart. I wish I had kept in touch with him.

From the YouTube video, I wonder to a man and a woman, if they would prefer to be dressed before the 1979 revolution, rather than see the women nearly cover themselves from head to toe?

1. The following are excerpts from http://oldsite.nautilus.org/DPRKBrie...PRC_Scobel.pdf

(Begin excerpts)
Tensions reportedly emerged in the late 1990s over either unmet North Korean demands for Chinese aid or Chinese pressure on North Korea to reform. According to one account, in early 1996 Pyongyang asked for a substantial amount of grain and Beijing responded by offering only a tenth of this. Kim Jong Il was reportedly incensed and threatened to “play the Taiwan card” unless China was forthcoming on an even broader set of demands. Beijing regretted that it was unable to meet all these requests but did offer a more comprehensive package. Pyongyang apparently was mollified. According to another account, a team of Chinese agricultural experts, who visited North Korea in the spring of 1997 under the auspices of the UN Development Program, recommended that their hosts adopt Chinese style reforms without delay. Pyongyang responded by calling Deng Xiaoping a traitor to socialism. Beijing took umbrage and threatened to halt its food aid. Pyongyang responded by initiating talks with Taiwan on the subject of opening direct air links between Taipei and Pyongyang. After the Chinese dropped its threat, the North Koreans broke off talks. Significantly, but perhaps unrelatedly, Beijing also permitted Pyongyang to open a consulate in the newly acquired Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong... (End excerpts)

2. It looks like a fiction that a priest has to dance to the tune of a tiny mosquito or a dog has full control over its master in my satire mentioned below. However, the above article shows that truth is stranger than fiction. North Korea is impoverished and near bankruptcy but it is not as sick as you think it is. It has an amazingly powerful leverage over its giant neighbour. It has no qualms about blackmailing China with the Taiwan card. It won't come as a surprise that it will threaten to nuke a few Chinese cities or supply nuclear arms to Taiwan in the future to blackmail China for more economic aids. We can see that China is forced to continue "feeding" its rebellious "ally" and there in no guarantee that the rogue state will one day bite the hand that "feeds" it (as in my allegory of the mosquito feeding on the priest's blood). Hence you should not expect China to push North Korea into releasing Mr. Newman. It is China that is being pushed around by North Korea all this while.

Political Satire: The Old Man of the Mountain (5)

N.B. By now, all Americans should have received news of the tragic death of Warmbier, another US political pawn and hostage in North Korea. If Newman or any of the US hostages has the face of Helen, your country might have launched a thousand ships to wage the US version of the Trojan War against North Korea.

Bullshit. Which one(s) and approx. how many?
Reach Pearl Harbor and do what? What kind of conventional payload do they have, how accurate is their guidance system?
"Reach Pearl Harbor" and doing significant damage to Pearl Harbor are VASTLY different things.

Pretty easy to retain "political suitability" when you kill anyone that might even THINK about opposing your policies. *shrug*
