Had I not, I would not have seen the stop sign I was about blow through at 80 plus miles an hour. At least not in time to stop. Blowing the stop sign wouldn't have been the issue. The 40 foot wide and 20 foot deep drainage gully was the problem. My little Toyota would have folded up like a beer can at that speed.
That was it. Last time. Every now and then I would have ONE drink with dinner. But since my bariatric surgery, even one drink is like injecting it straight into my blood stream, so I can't even do that. I travel for a living, even getting arrested for DUI much less actually convicted would mean my job.
The one time I realized I HAD to go out after I had started drinking, I rode my bicycle !!!!! I was buzzing the whole way !!!! LOL
If you get done for DUI, you are convicted. In Australia the court will ask you how do you plead. A sane person would plead guilty. The cops don't charge you for DUI for nothing. If you plead not guilty,it goes to a higher court.Australia has three criminal court systems. Magistrates court, district court, and supreme court. Every case starts in the magistrates court, then proceeds to the next level if the magistrate believes the offence is serious enough. Magistrates court only has the power to sentence a person to no more than ten years in prison. I have been to magistrates court 5 times and the district court once. The district court scarred the shit out of me.
