Political establishment working overtime to discredit Trump success

Quote:
From disregarding their own poll numbers to reaching out to Americans living overseas, the desperate media and political establishments are doing everything they possibly can to pretend GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump isn’t gaining ground.

Last week, a poll posted to BuzzFeed was updated with an editor’s note after 97 percent of respondents told the website they plan to vote for Trump in November.

“This poll no longer accurately reflects the opinions of real people. Please remember to vote in the upcoming election,” the note said.

While that was a very obvious slight, it isn’t exactly surprising coming from the leftist media outfit. BuzzFeed has made anti-Trump reporting a hige part of it’s campaign coverage in recent months and ended it’s advertising contract with the GOP following Trump’s nomination earlier this year.

What is a little surprising is how a number of more traditional media outlets are reacting to the Trump candidacy in recent weeks.

As the presidential election grows nearer, Americans are seeing more and more traditionally conservative newspapers throughout the country endorse the Democratic candidate for the first time in decades. In other cases, newspapers are endorsing Libertarian Gary Johnson or no one at all.

The Arizona Republic, which hasn’t endorsed a Democrat since its inception in 1890, threw in for Hillary Clinton last week.

The paper’s editorial board explained its decision thusly:

In a nation with an increasingly diverse population, Trump offers a recipe for permanent civil discord.

In a global economy, he offers protectionism and a false promise to bring back jobs that no longer exist.

America needs to look ahead and build a new era of prosperity for the working class.

This is Hillary Clinton’s opportunity. She can reach out to those who feel left behind. She can make it clear that America sees them and will address their concerns.

She can move us beyond rancor and incivility.

The Arizona Republic endorses Hillary Clinton for president.

The Detroit Free Press, meanwhile, endorsed Johnson after endorsing only Republicans for the past 143 years.

Why? Same story, Trump’s too dangerous.

The tale of two Right wing realities.

TALE #1: An individual acquires a sub-prime loan on a house and defaults, loses the house and destroys his credit.

Republican Response: the individual is a deadbeat and the banks are blameless for offering said loan.

TALE #2: Trump acquires billions to purchase "casinos" through the corporate equivalent of a sub-prime loan, high interest junk bonds, defaults, screws his creditors and suppliers, writes it off against future revenues to avoid federal taxes and continues to live a lavish lifestyle.

Republican Response: Hey, the guy used great business strategy to get ahead.

CONCLUSION: Ayn Randian Right Wingers are phony to their very core and not very bright to boot.

Discredit Trump's success?? I'd be willing to bet that if my father gave me a "SMALL" loan of $14million---or if any of our DTT posters received that SMALL loan, we'd all be a success.
Trump has been GIVEN--GIVEN his success. I don't doubt he's worked hard and he has the buildings and bank account to prove it, but he didn't make it from the ground up. He had Daddy's money....Daddys co-signing....Daddy's connections--Daddy's corporation.
If you want to define success *REAL* success, look at the Clintons--look at the Obamas--look at the Bidens--Oprah Winfrey--Bill Gates--Steven Spielberg--JK Rowling. IMO, anyone with money can make it. Our admiration should belong to those who started at ground zero.
Besides, DEFINE success. Success to me is achieving a goal--like an education or raising a family--being a good parent--having a home, job, and happy life. Money is not the key to a happy life---although it's nice to have it.
