IMO that is in the details. The concept is the same.

I am not at all a fan of Obamacare. But there are things that governments do mandate. Car insurance is one and health insurance isn't a departure in concept from that.

The problem with this issue is defining a business, and defining what is public. If one accepts that a church is neither a business nor a public facility, then the slippery slope argument fails.

If you want to equate auto insurance to Obamacare, then to be equal, the terms would be if you choose to live, you must buy insurance, just as if you choose to drive you must have liability. But auto insurance is state mandated and Obamacare is federal.

Also to compare, you would force the best drivers to pay the most to cover the worst drivers.

Get a DUI and see if you can find insurance at most companies.

The government is spending 17% of the GDP on health care costs. That is unsustainable. And it isn't forcing anyone to buy anything, however, it will give a tax penalty to those who remain without health coverage.

He is talking about a bakery being forced to make a cake for a gay wedding.

You still don't know what GDP is. Is the 17% eating the GDP?

Are you sure that is not the percentage of GDP that is healthcare and not government spending?

If it is not sustainable, why is it projected to increase 1% over GDP each year?

Why is healthcare spending projected to be 25% of GDP in the future?

Why is it a bad thing since 58% of healthcare costs are for labor?

If healthcare spending could be reduced by 50% in one year, how long and how deep would the ensuing recession last?

Pen, read the first post and read the part where he says that if the bakery is forced, then why wouldn't the government force churches. Come on. I already had to post this once before for another who didn't see it in the OP.
