You all got the wrong idea about God

god is more to forgive then to punish. he even sent his only begotten son jesus Christ to teach us to give us forgiven of sins
to give us salvation and our redemption.
even you wolff. even the isis if they repent. god is the trinity
the father the son the holy ghost
all one and the same god. that we here now cant and will
not understand. when the answer is very simple. he is god nuff sead.
jesus continue to teach us from his church. and forgives sins
by the sacraments. decreed by the word of god. there is more joy in
all of heaven for one who repents and returns. just one.
turn your back on what gets in the way and walk away.

If God is all powerful and wants us to be saved then why not just save us? What did he have to send his son to die and why do have to repent?

To transform our nature. We need to see the consequences of our evil natures.

So god does want us, or at least some of us to suffer.

Just like he did to Job.

An event that happened 2,000 years ago (if it happened at all) is not letting anyone today "see" the consequences of our evil nature.

So God made us with an "evil nature" and then punishes us with eternal torment for acting in accordance to the very nature he gave us?

The difficulty is that to engage in this sort of discussion we have to accept the discussability of an antique theology that nobody actually believes in. This 'God', in which pretty well everybody believed back then, seems in terms of modern knowledge, an unlikely concept, and it seems to me we'd do better to think out what people meant, translated as far as possible into our own terms.

Having free will means people can make "wrong" decisions, assuming we have free will which seems likely to me. if so, damning God for giving us free will seems "wrong."

By now, you must know that "eternal torment" was an invention of the Roman Church. People try to defend this concept, but an objective view must conclude it's not biblical, neither in the OT nor the NT, imo.

I'm not preaching to you, or anyone. I'm speaking as a Christian universalist, a position I believe is fully supported by the Bible. No special club of the saved. No eternal torment. No need for clergy or any other hierarchy. No gold and jewel-laden monuments to the marriage of church and state in a world full of hunger and disease.

What calls itself Christianity is factually Christendom. I've looked for a church to join for almost 50 years. I've never found one true to the Gospel. I don't believe one exists.
Thanks from right to left
