Cue the statisticians.

Quote:
The home front: So many people die annually from gunfire in the US that the death toll between 1968 and 2011 eclipses all wars ever fought by the country. According to research by Politifact, there were about 1.4 million firearm deaths in that period, compared with 1.2 million US deaths in every conflict from the War of Independence to Iraq.

I'd venture a guess that a large majority of Liberals/Democrats support the 2nd Amendment completely. We just want some control over WHO gets guns and HOW they are used. Anyone can go online and get a concealed carry permit in 30 minutes with a $70 fee. ANYONE!! There are loopholes in background checks which need to be fixed.
Federally licensed gun sellers are required to run background checks. But not all sellers are required to be licensed. Some of those unlicensed sellers sell at gun shows. It’s not clear how many sellers are licensed and how many are not. People do buy guns without having to undergo background checks. And WHY do our lawmakers have to have a debate about whether potential terrorists on watchlists should be denied guns?? That is just stupid.
Outrage over 50 people being killed is justified and expected. To blame the reason on guns and laws, which will have zero affect on mass shootings and murders instead of the cause, is an outrage.

Gun sales, especially assault-style rifles, have been selling at record levels, and yet the firearm murder rate has continued to drop to levels not seem since 1964. So liberal logic is to go after guns. This defies every known mathematical and statistical concept.

There are no loopholes in gun laws or loopholes in gun show laws.

Again, tying correlation and causation can be tough.

So they had plenty of warning that this guy was a danger. Convenient for the gun grabbers, isn't it.

Why do you people keep trying to sell the idea that "the left" is claiming firearms CAUSED the Orlando shootings?

The firearms such as the semi-automatic rifle with large capacity magazines used in the Orlando shooting makes the killing EASIER, FASTER and much more EFFECIENT.
It's hatred, and mental illness that CAUSES such tragedies.

One of the biggest increases was women purchasing guns.

More than likely women are purchasing more guns because of the accepted RAPE culture in this country. It's just one more 'exceptional' thing about America. Don't get me started!
