Do you guys want to know what "assault weapon" really is?

One thing it would be is actually an incoherent or silly expression, because assault is an act, a weapon is a thing, all weapons can be used to assault, and how could a thing be a "weapon" if it can't be used to assault? There seems to be in effect some redundancy, with that. A person holding a stone or brick in their hand can be considered an "assault weapon", if that expression is supposed to be meaningful at all.

Another thing it would be is Orwellian Newspeak; someone thought they could somehow undermine the Bill of Rights by merely conjuring up an impressive looking expression. The only way Orwellianism can work is if we allow it to work.
Thanks from guy39

Thus, we'll reject "alternative facts," correct?
Thanks from Hollywood

Are you referring to this label, or are you referring to information that the label is referring to?

I knew you'd say that.

Well either way, there are plenty of things we'd probably have to do.

For example we'll have to dig up a bunch of definition sources; I suppose we could inquire with Kellyanne Conway & Chuck Todd for theirs.

BTW. what did the Secret Service do with that MLK Jr. bust?

Well perhaps someone wearing a large rodent costume concealed it somewhere in the National Mall.

I wonder if at some point we'll have to talk about the inevitable death of censorship.
