Omg, who is being arrogant?

You first just asked me to list feminist issues and what feminists are doing about them. I told you that is an insanely long list, and i am not taking the time to start a 101 class on it. Because...................... if you already know as you say, you wouldnt have had to ask that question.

Unless, of course, you just wanted to make me do a bunch of stuff so you could just keep asking other random questions. This should all be old news to you.....

There, a simple starter kit. Look at all those issues. So many more than what people here are saying we care about.

@Lyzza

If women need to frame their issue(s) as "female liberation from male oppression" then, do you not think men also would have to frame their issue(s) as "male liberation from female oppression"?

How so? Why did you choose not to engage with the other side of the coin?--namely, women have/do use(d) men as disposable 'work horses'

Because i dont understand what point you are trying to make.

Sorry, but what is this "disposable work horses" theory and where does it come from? I seriously doubt it would be as extensive and extreme an issue as all the things women have to face in this world.......

@Lyzza

Below is a copy of a couple former posts of mine on a similar topic, which should begin to address this point:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Post 1:

@Skew

There are really two sides to this story.

On the one hand, there is further need for a Women's Advocacy Movement on a variety of issues (as there is for Men also)--some of which this touched upn. On the other, the Marches were premised upon a very distorted vision of M-F social dynamics throughout History. It is promoting a highly overly-simplistic vision of the World, as is commonplace with Neo-Marxist ideology. That is, Men & Women don't have "equality" with each other in differing ways--and it most certainly not nearly as unidirectional as the Women's March & Neo-Feminism more broadly are arguing/promoting. Also, the whole notion of "equality" as it is promoted is quite a misnomer.

If you would like me to expand on this or push-back against my submission, then I would be interested in exploring this topic further

Post 2 (same Thread):

skews13 (response to xMathFanx):

I'm for the girls taking over the world. The men have spent all of human existence fucking it up at every turn.

xMathFanx (response to skews13):

This is a prime example of the sort of highly-overly simplistic vision of M-F dynamics throughout History of which I was referring to. Notice, you could have just as easily stated "Men invented, built, and maintain everything that goes into Civilization--virtually independently, without the help of women--as they did nothing to contribute." Now, both would be in one sense correct, however in sum, far too overly simplistic as to be a compete Straw-Man caricature of Human History.

Ok, this is going to go nowhere, if you truly believe we have equality.

That simply is not true, in many ways not just in glass ceilings and pay (which are both very real and important issues too, i am not downplaying them).'

Are you upset with radical feminists or something? Or caught up like some other guy here is thinking that we all bow to some elite class of white feminists? Idk where this is coming from, and i dont really subscribe completely with either of those.

I was wondering if you were going to add your posts from a few months ago about sexual violence against women on college campuses. Omg it was all i could do to not go off on those old posts!

Oh, but i will add that i do appreciate that you took the time to look for some posts. I am up for a serious discussion, but i wont get drawn into another women-bashing thread like we have had here sooooooooooo many times before i left the site.

@Lyzza

I never once said that women have 'equality' and provided arguments, through observation, to the contrary. Then, it is not me you arguing with by stating that, but rather the cookie-cutter slot you think I belong in.

Women & men both suffer from unique discrimination as well as enjoy unique privileges in differing areas--as well as overlapping parts. Then, it is far more true to characterize this dynamic as:

"Women & men are oppressing each other and themselves"
Thanks from Sabcat

Is it 'women bashing' to point out there two-sides to a coin?
