You'll get over it in time. Go color for awhile. Make a Teddy bear out of Play-Doh or something until you can get over the fact that someone posted something you don't like.

I am not obligated in the least to accept, agree with or even respect what you claim I asserted
The post was sent to caconservative in response to something HE said. Strangely enough he has not responded at all.

Which one are you of the "we' you claim I was talking to, Moe, Larry or Curly?
Sorry if post #43 went over your heads boys. *shrug*

At Weslyan did they have you read Edmond Burke, Baron Montesquieu, Voltaire or Rosseau??....If they didn't they should have.....

I "attack" you and Jimmy. Teehee. Teasing you about a 'partnership' and a seance is attacking you and Jimmy...? Talk about weak! YOU FUNNY! I RAUGH OUT loud.

Oh the ivy-covered halls of Wesleyan! Brings back such memories, but alas--none of Montesquieu or Russeau. I guess the Methodists didn't think we needed to be enlightened anymore than we already were at age 19 and 20. Voltaire was an interesting guy. Wasn't he friends with Ben Franklin? And didn't he say something on his deathbed about loving his friends and his God and not hating people. I liked that about him. His Candide was.....well...different, but I like satire. Edmund Burke---way too conservative for me.
I only took one year of English Lit: Hemingway, Faulkner, Fitzgerald, Dickens, Steinbeck -- not a heck of alot of philosophy and/or social theory...unless you are an English major--which I was not. I was required to take at least 3 credits of religion. Not my favorite class--prof was horribly boring.

I gather you've read a lot of the above mentioned??

I've been warning people about AM talk radio for that very reason.

Probably a good warning. I do not watch the cable news or listen am radio opinion programs. The last time I had cable news on was election night.

The rare times that I do listen, if I am in the car, is to Michael Medved or Dennis Prager. Neither one can be accused of being whackos.

No...I have not....I attended Lehigh County Community College and then Penn State extension..I had 10 years to use up my GI benefits or lose them...Kind of like a smorgasbord, I got an education in what I needed to know.. Business management, accounting, Economics, marketing, Real Estate Law, Corporate Law, political science and some courses in Trig and Calculus..

If you would have told me, when I was in High School that I would go to college to learn accounting, I would have said "WTF are you smoking??"... But then tell me....What kid knows what they want to invest into an education at 18 or 19 anyway??

I never took an English Course and as such never received a shingle to hang on the wall....But...who gives a shit?? I did not need it to buy lumber...I got the education I needed to pursue my entrepreneurial spirit....By the time I got to college I was 24 years old..had a wife, a kid and a mortgage....I had been around the world and had participated in some live-fire exercises at the SoutheastAsia School of Hard Knocks..

I have been an avid collector of books, and I read them....I probably have over 600 books in my library on history...Roman, European, Russian ...USA... on Military History....I can babble for hours about the 30 year war and Gustavus Adolphus, or the English Civil Wars, the Punic Wars, the Napoleanic Wars..... Franco Prussian War and so forth and so on.. I have many books on political thought and history, French Revolution, Russian Revolution....I have read Das Kapital....I just bought a book on the history of the WHIG Party....Do you know what that was?? ..Science fascinates me....I can go on and on about the space program to the construction of nuclear weapons... But I only have about 3 novels in the whole damn collection..

So I never studied English Lit.....So friggin' What???...I'm happy... I gave myself the education I needed and used...
