No, if Trump drops out it will likely be due to the following.

Clinton surrogate skewers the GOP: Trump got picked because you think ‘Duck Dynasty is a think tank’

Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany spoke on CNN about the ways in which the Republican Party and many of its establishment members worked against Trump and “disrespected” the voters who supported him. “Without Republican voters, the Republican Party won’t exist,” she determined.

The comeback was a thing of pure beauty:

“Without independent voters, no candidate is going to be a credible candidate for president,” Clinton surrogate Robert Zimmerman replied. “Donald Trump succeeded in a Republican Party where 44 percent of them think the president is a secret Muslim. To that voter, Duck Dynasty is a think tank. Donald Trump still won’t even recognize that President Obama is an American citizen. So, it tells you just how bankrupt Donald Trump is ethically and morally and also how dysfunctional, how extreme the Republican Party has become. That’s the real issue here.”

Scott Walker latest high-profile state Republican to skip Trump rally

MOLLY BECK mbeck@madison.com, 608-252-6135 47 min ago 6

None of the highest-profile Republicans in Wisconsin will attend Donald Trump's rally in Green Bay on Friday -- a sign of deepening fissues between the state GOP and their party's presidential nominee.

A spokesman for Gov. Scott Walker's political campaign said Wednesday the governor would be "unable" to attend the Trump rally, his first in Wisconsin since gaining the GOP nomination.

That statement comes a day after House Speaker Paul Ryan of Janesville and U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson of Oshkosh said they will skip the event.

.........................

"Governor Walker's number one focus is being governor, and he will continue leading the response to the violent storms that swept through northern Wisconsin last month," Fadness said. "As always, Governor Walker will participate in future political events for Mr. Trump provided they don't interfere with his work for the citizens of Wisconsin, as he did when Governor Pence visited Waukesha a week ago."......................

I've been watching this fivethirtyeight chart for quite a while. I was getting very nervous when it looked like the email mess was sinking Hillary to where based on Nate Silver's analysis of all the polls indicated it was becoming a dead heat. But then between the bump the convention supposedly gave the Dems, and Trumps continuing foot-in-mouth disease, the past few days have been stellar. Today's analysis"

He may quit even sooner.

Trump has offended so many voting demographics including military/veterans, he will not be able to recover. In addition, you would be foolish to expect a mentally unstable narcissist to change his stripes in 96 days. Your side has been hoping for a Trump reincarnation for a year now. If he sounds like a dick and looks like a dick, then he's a dick.

You are overlooking the point that many have made since the beginning that King trump was just a plant to promote the Clinton campaign. Never intended to get as far as it did only to disrupt the republican primaries. Some how it gained its own momentum and grew into its own animal. If in fact it is self destructing w/ the intention of dropping out it will give more credibility to that theory. Couple that w/ how obviously the Clinton campaign rigged the democratic primaries and you have an election that was rigged from the go.

The Republican base rewarded him with more votes than any other Republican candidate. There goes that personal responsibility thingy again.

Trump cannot accept a loss on the world's largest stage. That would be anathema to Trump's "I'm a winner" narcissistic identity. It is no coincidence that Trump is already balking at debates. He knows he can't debate policy with Hillary head to head. It's no coincidence that Trump is already calling the election "rigged" just one week after the conventions concluded. He's looking for an out to avoid an embarrassing defeat so he's constructing a "I didn't lose, they stole it" scenario. Trump loves the attention of campaigning but has no interest in the responsibilities and burdens that many former presidents have referred to as living in a prison.
My Prediction. From this point forward he does not lose a point in the polls to Hillary.
