Whether you like it or not, the people who wrote the books of the Bible are very much as real as you are. Your laughter is that of ignorance.

I have read the book and knew the late Herbert Armstrong when he was still actively preaching along with knowing about his falling out with his son Garner Ted Armstrong. I have a copy of the book in my library along with several years worth of the monthly magazine and many booklets before his congregation bought into mainstream churchianity.

The book you are referring to is more about Bible philosophy whereas the books I left links to are written by archaeologists that prove a link between biblical accounts and what history can prove as being fact.

You mean "prophecy" I think.

I studied HWA's writings extensively. I agree with him. There are prophecies in Genesis that have no ancient fulfillment. The US and the UK indeed must be the spiritual descendants of Manasseh and Ephraim. And I agree with him, the last two nation-empires, the US and UK with true worldwide reach, have to be in Biblical prophesy.

Or maybe, the Bible is just an interesting book.

I agree with what you're saying, but there is a much more in depth writer along those lines. You should check this book out:

The people who wrote the books of the bible are evil vile scum who found a way to exploit a mental weakness of humanity and did so.

An interesting point is that much of what you think of as actual history isn't history either. Napoleon once basically said, "History is just a bunch of lies that have been agreed upon."
