I'm one of the few people who doesn't believe that Manson should be in prison any longer. Oh - no question, he's a creepy, bizarre wacko. But, he never murdered anybody. I don't want him next door to me LOL - but, in fairness, people who have done far worse than he have received far less severe sentences.

I also read somewhere that he's quite ill now - cancer or something - so he's probably going to die soon.

The problem would be.....where to put him. He'd be a risk at any living/care facility anywhere. Not himself personally, but the risk of some other nut job wanting his fifteen minutes of fame by becoming 'the guy who killed Charles Manson'.

They have.

Personally, I'm not sure if it's for his sake, or because of fear of a lawsuit by one of his kids.

As far as we know..........this is true. However, Manson thought he had killed someone. A drug dealer known as 'lottsapoppa'. He just didn't know that lottapoppa didn't die.

Would've been interesting to see how my hometown would have reacted to this.
