With the incredible amount of class envy rhetoric being bloviated by this Administration and the mindless lemmings who support such nonsense (particularly the left wing media), and the fact that Obama and Clinton like to use the word "math" in their incredibly moronic rhetoric, I thought this would be a good time to do some REAL math.

The current level of Federal spending is estimated to exceed $3.6 trillion dollars and the current deficit is estimated to run about $1.1 trillion.

What does this mathematically equate to? Well for spending it equates to $300 billion per month, or $9.6 billion per day or a massive $410.9 million per HOUR. I want to emphasize here..... FOUR HUNDRED and TEN MILLION PER HOUR is what our Government currently spends. Folks, that is a hell of a lot of money.

The deficit amounts to $1.1 trillion per year, $8.3 billion per month, $273.4 million per day or $11.4 million per hour.

Current projected revenue is estimated to be $2.449 trillion; or $204 billion per month, $6.7 billion per day, or $279.5 million per hour.

Obama claims that the ONLY starting point to negotiating with Congress to prevent the "fiscal cliff" is by increasing revenue by eliminating the Bush tax cuts for those earning more than $250K per year. This would add an estimated $1 trillion over ten years or.......$100 billion per year, or $83 million per month, or $2.7 million per day or $114 thousand an hour. This is about 2.8% of total spending and about 9% of the current projected deficit.

Can anyone explain how increasing the taxes on those who already pay the lion's share of taxes is going to make the slightest difference when it comes to the massive amount of SPENDING this Government engages in? Keep in mind that we are leaving out State taxes, local taxes, excise taxes etc.

Based on the OBVIOUS math, what we have here is a SPENDING problem not a REVENUE problem and the tiny drop of additional revenue Obama's tax program would entail would do NOTHING to get our house in order.

There is only ONE way to get this house in order and that is to significantly REDUCE SPENDING. If we do not, our debt bomb will explode and we will indeed be similar to Greece, Spain and Italy.

Republicans should not support one dime in additional taxation until the American taxpayers are guaranteed that spending will be drastically cut to match revenues; not in ten years, not in seven years but within the next FOUR years. Otherwise, all this debate is nothing more than useless sqwaking.

Now what we are NOT hearing from Obama and the DNC, what we are NOT hearing from the lamestream media who is derilict in their duty to inform Americans, is that by doing nothing other than keeping their spending in line with their annual revenues, tax revenue will continue to INCREASE through a growing economy.

So by doing NOTHING and not SPENDING more than the Federal Government takes in, revenues will naturally increase.

Not one Liberal has explained to me how taxing the rich to the tune of $100 billion per year is going to increase economic activity. Not one has explained how this additional $100 billion will make a dent in the current level of SPENDING.

The cold hard FACT is that they choose NOT to because they know there isn't a logical, coherent or factual reason for it. It is PURE hard partisan politics using a divisive class envy argument. Nothing more, and nothing less.

What I cannot understand is how Americans can be so clueless as to how massive this issue is; and it is not because the rich are not paying enough!

I write it off to a media that is practicing malfeasance in its effort to prop up failed liberal ideologies with a complete disregard for the truth and facts which is purposely attempting to insulate Americans from being exposed to the reality of this debt bomb. They know that if they were to be honest and expose this massive spending spree for what it has been, their candidates couldn't get elected.

The sad truth here is that in order to REALLY get our house in order, EVERYONE would have to pay more if we are going to continue to do NOTHING to reign in this reckless irresponsible spending spree Democrats have engaged in and whom the public appears to be okay with.

With all this rhetoric about revenue, the other thing lost in this debate is the FACT that without an increase in taxes, revenues will increase if we promote good sound Goverment policies that are pro-business and growth.

More jobs = more workers = more taxpayers = more revenue.

Liberals appear to have great difficulty understanding and comprehending that if the economy is growing, revenues automatically increase without the need to impose job-killing tax increases.

For some reason, Liberals can only think linearly thinking that the ONLY way to increase revenues is through massive tax increases and cannot get their heads around a growing economy which creates tax revenue at existing rates. It is the same linear logic that argues that the economy is finite and therefore, if someone gets more, someone else must be getting less.

It is similar to liberal logic that argues that increasing the middle class will increase job growth; I cannot immagine a more lunatic claim but these are the arguments the left, Obama and the DNC are making.

I think the public are going to get more than they bargined for. This can't end well either way. We kick the can further down the road and slow down the inevitable or we collapse and mayham follows. The people will imediately blame the republicans for the collapse and we will be divided worse than ever. If we kick the can two years down the road they will blame us for caving in. Either way it ain't a nice place to be a Republican. Thhey have managed to completely vilify us.

Jbird, you are 100% ocrrect and the only reason they can have such looney logic is because they know the miscreants in the mainstream media who support their irresponsible and reckless behavior will provide them with the cover to keep ignorant Americans ignorant.

What I can tell you is that these things occur and re-occur in cycles. Usually they occur after Liberals totally mess up everything so badly that Americans put Conservatives back in charge. Once things get better, the public, which has the memory of a lemming, will once again forget how they got where they are and fall for all the good sounding Progressive nonsense once again with the help of the miscreant media so that the cycle can be completed once more.

I say give them all the rope they need, then we can get back to logical principles and get the economy moving again.

There is a reason newspapers are filing for bankruptcy at unpresidented levels these days and why so few viewers even bother tuning into MSNBC, but being a liberal requires denial and a bury-your-head-in-the-sand attitude. Therefore, they will blame Fox News and those darned Conservative talk shows for their failure rather than the reality that after supporting a failed ideology and spewing continual lies, people eventually just stop taking your stuff seriously. The product they are trying to sell, Progresive Liberalism, just isn't sustainable or put together very well.
