What was your first, your favorite, Rifle, Handgun

My first Firearm was a handgun, I purchased a Ruger Bearcat.

my favorite is my Colt 1911, it saved my daughters life.

My first was a 5mm Benjamin Air Rifle. Five to seven pumps behind each pellet, and it was a gopher-slaying machine.

My favorite would be a little difficult. I would have to say, probably the 7x57 Mauser, Ackley Improved, that was my first big game hunting rife -- and remains my favorite hunting rifle.

I'm also fond of the High Standard .22 pistol, which was purchased brand new by my father when he graduated college. It shot it quite a lot as a kid, and inherited it when he passed away. It's about the only handgun I can shoot with consistent accuracy.

I've coveted a Colt 1911, and an M1 Garand, since I was old enough to identify each of those particular firearms.

Someday, I'll have one of each.

I don't own any guns.

But, if I did, I'd want a Phased Plasma Rifle in a 40 Watt range. For home defense purposes, of course.

And, if I were to need a much longer-ranged and more...ummm...effective weapon, I think I'd invest in some Rods From God:

(Of course, these weapons might just cost a tad bit more than my budget.)

"Rods from God" sounds phallic... LOL.

All the same, sounds like a hell of a weapon. Perhaps overkill for rabbit hunting?

Not at all...particularly if one is confronted by a killer rabbit, and if the Holy Hand-Grenade fails to function.

That's true. The killer rabbit is a fearsome foe, not to be underestimated.
