Slave labor is not capitalism, nor did it build this nation. To dredge up slavery, gone since 1865, is funny, in a sad sort of way.

Do you have an answer to the rest of his points? I must admit I don't.

What made this country great was striking a balance between our capitalistic foundations and our more progressive ideals.
Capitalism regulates itself mostly by free market competition. Socialism has no competition, provides no incentives for improvement, and suppresses free markets as well as individual freedom. Socialism has been shown to be a failure everywhere it has been tried, yet the Obama worshippers in this country, who call themselves Progressives, want to regress to those failed socialist policies, proving they are actually Reactionaries. Progress will only happen with free market capitalism.

But there are two means of destroying competition. One is government interference, but the other is corporate collusion and forming of monopolies. At one time when I was much more innocent, I used to think that eventually free enterprise would allow a start-up to form and challenge existing monopolies. But if the companies become strong enough there are too many tools available to them crush competition. And that has happened. Safeway in Alberta were prevented from opening any new stores in Alberta for 10 years and fined when they were convicted of drastically dropping their prices in all their stores surrounding any new grocery store that opened in any city in the province where they operated as just one relatively current example. That was in violation of an anti-dumping type law that exists here. So free market capitalism needs some oversight.

Monopolies are overrated. Standard Oil a perfect example. By the time the SCOTUS ordered its break-up oil prices had come down ~90% over the years. Providing massive benefits to society.
