O'Reilly Lies again

O'Reilly On IRS: "President Obama Is Not Holding Anyone Accountable. That's Absolutely True."

O'Reilly On IRS: "President Obama Is Not Holding Anyone Accountable. That's Absolutely True." | Blog | Media Matters for America

Quote:

Bill O'Reilly ignored reality and claimed that "President Obama is not holding anyone accountable" for the actions of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after an Inspector General report found the agency gave extra scrutiny to tea party groups' tax status applications. O'Reilly failed to mention the fact that the Obama administration has fired Steven Miller, the acting commissioner of the IRS, placed Lois Lerner, the director of the tax-exempt organizations division at the IRS, on administrative leave, and that Attorney General Eric Holder ordered a criminal investigation into the case.

On the May 23 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly told guest Ben Stein, "I think to be fair on this we have to say a few things definitely. That President Obama is not holding anyone accountable. That's absolutely true." O'Reilly then claimed that the president should "be scolded for that," and that Lerner should have been suspended immediately.

But President Obama and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew forced Miller out as a "first step," with President Obama promising to "do everything in my power" to stop future targeting. On May 23, the acting IRS commissioner placed Lois Lerner on administrative leave after she refused his request that she resign. And Attorney General Eric Holder announced on May 14 that the Justice Department would work with the FBI to see if any laws were broken in relation to the IRS case.

Fox News' scandal machine, eager for a new target after the collapse of its Benghazi investigations, has been whitewashing Mr. Obama's response from the start. Some in the right wing media are even using the opportunity to call for a special prosecutor.
And Benghazi is not forgotten..there are STILL demands that the criminal republican element in the House that forged White House Documents be arrested .

FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT GROUP THAT REPRESENTS
DIPLOMATIC SERCUTIY OFFICERS SAYS SELECT COMMITTEE
SHOULD BE CREATED ‘IMMEDIATELY’

Washington, D.C. (May 17, 2013) – The organization that represents the Diplomatic Security officers at the State Department today said a select committee should be set up “immediately” to investigate the terrorist attack in Benghazi.

“In light of the recent testimony of three State Department witnesses, including a DSS Special Agent, it is imperative that bipartisan Select Committee on the Terrorist Attack in Benghazi be formed immediately,” Jon Adler, president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) wrote in a letter to Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), author of H. Res 36 to create a select committee on Benghazi.

“The production of 1,000 documents by the State Department and the Administration, as well as the testimony of former Secretary Clinton, has proven insufficient in addressing numerous unanswered questions,” Adler said. “When the questions involve the fatalities of two heroic SEALS, as well as the injuries of brave DSS Special Agents, every government resource should be committed towards answering them. We don’t kick heroes under the carpet because we find a investigative inquiry administratively inconvenient”

Adler said he expects full bipartisan cooperation from both parties in establishing the committee.

“We have grieving family members and a seriously injured DSS special agent that deserve the unwavering respect and commitment of our Congress,” Adler said. “Our heroes didn’t take pause while confronting fatal risk. Congress should not take pause in confronting the need to properly investigate this matter.”

In addition to DSS agents, FLEOA represents 26,000 federal law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, U.S Marshals, Secret Service agents and Border Patrol agents.

Wolf’s legislation currently has 154 cosponsors, more than two-thirds of the majority in the House, including members of four of the committees of jurisdiction: 20 Republicans on the Armed Services Committee, 17 Republicans on the Foreign Affairs Committee, 14 Republicans on the Judiciary Committee and 13 Republicans on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Since the “interim progress report” was released three weeks ago, 40 members have signed on, and 15 have signed on since the Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing last week.

Cosponsors also also include former and current Committee chairmen, including Reps. Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, Ileana Ros-Lehtenin (R-FL), former chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Peter King (R-NY), former chairman of the Homeland Security Committee.

In response to the misinformation surrounding the select committee, Wolf reiterated that the select committee would not cost any additional money. In fact, the resolution specifically says it will use existing resources and existing staff. He also said it could be formed immediately and build on the work that has already been done, and that it would have broad subpoena authority across all of the agencies involved in the Benghazi response.

That was a pretty bold move to "force" Steven Miller out considering he had already filed the paperwork to retire in June before the scandal was even on the radar. A lot of chest thumping by Obama for nothing.
Thanks from guy39

ROFLMAO!!!!

From a REPUBLICAN TEABAGGER IN VA??

That's not a source, son, that's just one more lie.

Quote:
Congressman Wolf, the most senior of the 11 members of the House of Representatives from Virginia, is serving in his 17th term in Congress. He represents the 10th District, which stretches from McLean to Winchester.

Congressman Wolf sits on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, where he is the chairman of the Commerce-Justice-Science subcommittee. He also serves on the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development and State and Foreign Operations subcommittees. In addition, he is the co-chairman of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, a bipartisan organization which works to raise awareness about international human rights issues.

His committee assignments provide him with an ideal position to address the varying needs of the 10th District, which is home to some of the world’s leading defense, aerospace, cybersecurity and high-tech companies, thousands of federal employees and other professionals. Agriculture and manufacturing also are an important part of the 10th District’s economy. Up to half of the Commonwealth’s apples, peaches and grapes are grown in the 10th District; Kraft Foods and Hood Milk have large manufacturing plants in the district. Tourism is important, too. Winchester played an important role in George Washington's early adult life; his military and political career began there. Oak Hill plantation in Loudoun County was the residence of President James Monroe. The country home of Richard Bland, Northern Virginia's first Representative to Congress is in Fairfax County. Civil War battlefields, including Manassas National Battlefield Park, dot the 10th District. The Journey Through Hallowed Ground, which follows Route 15 from Charlottesville to Gettysburg also runs through the 10th Distrct.

Is it a congenital disease that causes your stupidity or a choice? Miller filed retirement papers months ago.

Is it lack of understanding, or a craned neck that causes you to get all your information from where the sun don't shine, boy?
