Tell Republicans to Stop the Government Shutdown over Obamacare

Republicans in Congress are willing to go to any lengths to prevent people from receiving affordable healthcare - even if that means shutting down the government and hurting millions of Americans in the process.

The head of the Republican National Committee, Reince Preibus, recently defended government shutdown as a legitimate 'tactic' for stopping President Obama's health care law.

A government shutdown would mean delays in the delivery of essential services and an increased burden on state and local governments, just as the economy is recovering.

Sign the petition to tell Republicans to stop threatening to shut down the government over Obamacare.

Correct; and Congress includes the Democrat controlled Sentae for the low information sheeple out there who parrot these moronic DNC fed media talking points.

I'm amused by the shrill hyperartisan Democrats who think that the only way to prevent a shutdown is to force Republicans to cave into all of heir demands. We wouldn't have this problem if the Senate passed a budget and worked WITH Republicans and Obama acted like a leader instead of The Candidate.

The government has been shut down about a dozen times in U.S. history, so it is not necessarily a unique or unusual occurrence.

But, in fact, there is no need to shut down government at all. Defunding ObamaCare is obviously the goal here, so defund the damned thing. It really doesn’t have to be tied to the rest of the other services at all.

The Republicans can approach this thing in multiple steps. First, pass budgets that approved spending for things like Medicare and Social Security. Secondly, in a separate resolution, pass the defunding of ObamaCare. Then send the damned thing to Harry Reid and the Democrats and make them stand once again for the ObamaCare monstrosity.

It won’t be so easy this time around for the Democrats. Many are up for re-election soon and they fully realize their necks are on the line. And believe me, the natives are restless within the Democratic party.

A bill, any bills, being passed by a legislature that they don't usually read themselves, much less.... understand the d@mn thing should have given most rational people a momentary pause.

"Tell Republicans to Stop the Government Shutdown over Obamacare"

They don't have to, Obama did it for them because the bill was going to be placed into the responsibility of the liberals and he had to shut it down until after the next election so he wouldn't lose seats in the houses or the white house. I think you can call that pandering. But even he recognized how the actions of this bill are ridiculous and extreme and too expensive for the budget he hasn't submitted since he was placed in office. red
