Walmart's anti-union propaganda video

Remember, loyal employees... Walmart corporation = good, unions = bad.

I honestly do not understand how a union would be of service to Walmart workers. Problem with Walmart's workforce is that they are unskilled labor. Probably could teach a person any of the jobs within a week or so. Unions work well when the people are skilled, needed and a lack of workers in that field.

I'm certainly not pro union. But Walmart's turn over rate was at one time more than 60% per year. They have it down to somewhere between 30% and 40% now. The industry average is 10%. Costco by comparison runs just 6%.

They spend more than $2 Billions dollars a year on recruiting and hiring.

It's seems even Walmart employees can find better jobs !!!!

Oh man, I remember having to watch this during orientation.

I definately don't plan on staying in this damn company long term, beyond the obvious complaints listed above- it's just shit all around. In fact, fuck retail in general.

And you say this exactly why? Unions exist to represent to needs/wants of the workers and not of the employers.

Wrong, unions used to exist to represent the workers, now they exist to get rich off of union dues, and to support the Democratic machine.

Report: UAW trust to get 17.5% of GM shares - ABC News

Quote:
General Motors will give the United Auto Workers union 17.5% of its common stock, $6.5 billion of preferred shares and a $2.5 billion note to finance a trust that will take over retiree health care costs starting next year.[
QUOTE]Local union leaders said the 14 factories that GM intends to close were not identified in the agreement or by UAW international officials. Those are part of GM's restructuring plan to be submitted to the government by the company's June 1 deadline, said one of the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the details of the meeting have not been presented to union members.

The company did commit to reopening three closed assembly plants and one stamping factory if demand warrants, according to the summary sheet. The factories were not identified.

Mike Green, president of a UAW local at a Cadillac factory in Lansing, Mich., said the leaders know it's better to have an agreement in place in case GM is forced into bankruptcy. Union members will vote on the concessions Wednesday and Thursday.
