A "cold-blooded murder is an insane act.", how so? If someone murders my wife, and I decide to murder him, and I plan it, and commit the murder, how is that an insane act? It seems to me that it is a act of revenge, an "Eye for an Eye".

Contrary to reports the gun used had been given to him by his father,

Although I suppose he might be lying to protect his dad. I would guess it will be easy for the cops to check.

Another anomaly just in.

... Carson Cowles (his uncle) said he tried to mentor his nephew, who had no job or driver's licence, but Mr Roof was not receptive to this idea. ...
Isn't that indicative that this dude is "very different"? Perhaps not for people raised in the middle of a very large city but don't most kids just demand to get a DL, or go out and get one themselves?

Though he has tough competition from Lindsey Graham and Rick Santorum, this guy wins the "dick of the week" medal;

NRA Board Member Blames Murdered Reverend For Death Of His Congregants In S.C. Church Mass Shooting

Source: Media Matters

National Rifle Association board member Charles L. Cotton wrote that the victims of a mass shooting in a Charleston, South Carolina church died because of Reverend Clementa Pinckney's advocacy for gun safety laws.

Pinckney, along with eight others, was killed by a gunman during a June 17 attack at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

In 2013, Pinckney, who was also a South Carolina State Senator, introduced legislation to require more comprehensive background checks on gun sales and supported several other gun safety measures during his career as a legislator.

In a post on an online forum for Texas supporters of the concealed carry of handguns, Cotton wrote, "he voted against concealed-carry. Eight of his church members who might be alive if he had expressly allowed members to carry handguns in church are dead. Innocent people died because of his position on a political issue."

There is no federal terrorism jurisdiction over Roof's actions or any individual acting on their own and not associated with a terrorism enterprise.

I thought as this is clearly a racially motivated 'Hate Crime' the FBI did have some jurisdiction.

There seems to be enough evidence to warrant a hate crime investigation by the FBI.
