From the article:
Walmart’s low-wage workers cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $6.2 billion in public assistance including food stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing, according to a report published to coincide with Tax Day, April 15.
That's a form of corporate welfare, and the author left out utility assistance..

What do you think the minimum wage should be?

Retailers and state governments across the United States are moving to ban the Confederate flag, a southern battle flag used during the American Civil War that has since become associated with white supremacist groups.

The moves come in the aftermath of a mass shooting at a black church by a white supremacist who posted photos of himself with the flag. South Carolina governor Nikki Haley agreed to take the flag down from the state capitol building. (It can still be flown on private property.)

You mean if I've got a really great CPA, and I do, and I end up getting a tax refund and in effect have in effect only "loaned" the federal govt. money for a period of months I don't get to vote?
How about old people who's ONLY income is their social security benefit? You know they don't pay federal income tax on those funds, right? So, you'd screw grandpa out of being able to vote?

What KIND of literacy test. Being able to read the ballot enough, or would you want a specific level of literacy?

Bottom line. You do not want poor people to be able to vote.
