Poll: 74 Percent of Californians Want to End Sanctuary Cities

High number, so there is hope.

Poll: 74 Percent of Californians Want to End Sanctuary Cities

Quote:
The vast majority of residents living in California would like to see sanctuary cities barred, a state home to multiple jurisdictions which refuse to abide by federal immigration laws.

Roughly 74 percent of California residents want to see an end to sanctuary city policies, according to a poll by UC Berkeley.

The issue to end sanctuary cities in the state crosses racial and party lines, with 65 percent of Hispanics registering their agreement, while 70 percent of independents, 82 percent of Republicans, and 73 percent of Democrats feel the same.

During President Donald Trumpís term, sanctuary cities could see a cut in federal funding and pushback from the Department of Justice under likely Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

I'm curious if those are the statistics for the people who live in those sanctuary cities.

I know that in CT, they are very unpopular. But here in New Haven, a sanctuary city, it is always supported.

So, a poll of state residents would be against it - but the city which is actually affected by it is in favor of it.

So do you feel that the laws of the city should supersede those of the state and through that also the federal government?

but there might be certain suburbs, even individual streets, that are opposed to it, shouldnt they be allowed to live by their wishes.

wait, there might be one house on that streed who supports it, so that house should be able to do what it likes, and the rest of the street have different rules.

There are a few blocks that completely disregard drug laws and sell heroin open in the streets, also some that do the same w/ prostitution laws. W/ the disregard for prostitution laws they are also ignoring slavery, child slavery and pediophellia.

Good for them, right?
