"It's working out nicely."

ACLU wins legal challeng against immigration ban. Hope Trump enjoys losing.

The American Civil Liberties Union announced Saturday evening that a federal court in New York had issued an emergency stay on President Trump’s executive order banning immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries. The court’s decision, which will affect people who have been detained in airports, came after the ACLU and other activist groups filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of two Iraqis who were held at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as a result of the order.
“I hope Trump enjoys losing. He’s going to lose so much we’re going to get sick and tired of his losing,” ACLU national political director Faiz Shakir told Yahoo News shortly after the decision was announced.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the court ruling.

Trump's executive order did not lose. The TRO regarded deporting those detained at airports with visas. A TRO is issued without arguments or merits and is generally good for ten days until arguments are made. The TRO has no effect on the ban from the select countries. The TRO affected less than two-hundred people. Trump has the Constitution, the law, and Supreme Court precedent on his side. The long-term prognosis for the commie ACLU's challenges is not rosy.

The Department of Homeland Security's statement released this morning:
The president’s Executive Orders remain in place—prohibited travel will remain prohibited, and the U.S. government retains its right to revoke visas at any time if required for national security or public safety. The president’s Executive Order affects a minor portion of international travelers, and is a first step towards reestablishing control over America's borders and national security.

Are you really halfwitted? As you know, Isis is rejoicing at this proof of all they have ever said about the West's 'caring' for their Muslim victims. Do they pay you, or can't you read your Koran when drunk?

How dare Trump put the security of this nation ahead of the "right" of anyone who wants to come here for any reason?! My God, you would start to think immigration is somehow a "privilege" and not right? What the hell is he thinking...hellooo? LOL...

No, she isn't. That the shortest and nicest reply you deserve. Anything more and I'd be one the same level as you.

Thats the way I see it also. However, I do have one bone to pick. I wouldn't classify the aclu as commies seeing that they do try and protect the rights of all Americans, regardless of their political beliefs. This is the only activist group I can say anything positive about.

My problem with the ACLU is that their focus is the Bill of Rights, but their version of the meaning and intent of the Bill of Rights. Their version is generally based on a liberal ideology.

Trump should have issued two executive orders: one regarding traveling to the US from certain counties and another dealing with people already on US soil with proper paperwork.

Nonetheless, a visa is not a guarantee of entry into the country, but merely permission to come to a port of entry.

Seems this one Iraqi guy was waiting two years for his visa under the Øbama regime, then finally received it on January 20, 2017. Hmmmmm? Why does that date ring a bell?

The Darweesh family applied for an Iraqi Special Immigrant Visa on Oct. 1, 2014 and were approved Jan. 20. They received the visas Wednesday and boarded their flight to the US Friday.
At least 12 detained at JFK under travel ban; two are released | New York Post

And there just happened to be many protesters at or near to JFK airport just because people always hang out at JFK.
