So apparently the decision to fire Comey did come from Trump first. He directed Sessions and Rosenstein to write up a list of Comey's errors. Trump's decision first, then the excuse.

Just in - CNN email:

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he had already decided to fire FBI Director James Comey before Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein wrote up a formal recommendation to do so.

"I was going to fire Comey," Trump told NBC News' Lester Holt in an interview. "Regardless of the recommendation, I was going to fire Comey."

The White House initially said Rosenstein's memorandum to Attorney General Jeff Sessions prompted Trump to fire Comey, but Trump contradicted that account, saying he had already planned to do so and requested a memo to back up his decision.
Anyone surprised?

On October 7, 2016,[6] the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly stated that Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC) servers and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's personal email account and leaked their documents to WikiLeaks.[7][8]

Now was Podesta's e-mail hacked??....No it was not....it was phished.....big assed difference there...."hacked" means broken into..."phished" means that Podesta was "fooled"...he used a very weak password.. He helped create the leak himself...

So your Wikipedia source starts off with a false premise....shall I go on??

Wikipedia typically cites their source material, so any "grain of salt" comment is meaningless unless you actually call out a documentable discrepancy.

Your comment is basically to whine over semantics. You offer no meaningful refutation but rather fixate (essentially) on whether hacking is phishing and how much Podesta was culpable in that vulnerability.
Hacking is simply accessing/exploiting information or causing denial of technical service to a victim system or organisation, illegally.
Phishing is like a mouse trap , you wait for the mouse to come for the cheese and when they do as you desired , you catch the mouse.
Hacking does not involve victim , phishing requires stupidity from victim to execute.
Hacking is a broad term , while phishing is a type of hacking .
One of the main points of this is that Russia purposefully sought to aid Trump.
Whether that specific example there used terms you liked or whether some Democrat was an idiot in that is irrelevant to that point.

But like much from the right on Trump / Russia, that's the whole point of the approach. Ignore the actual context of the problem and go after meaningless nitpicks.

Anyone with a brain suspected that to be the case but the right can't see beyond their noses.

I suspect the Russians did the same with the DNC email hacks as they did with Matron's email, they gathered actual emails then changed / added to the actual emails and forged complete new emails.
