The future of healthcare in the US

The latest CNN email says that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has delayed the start of the August recess until the third week of the month to allow more time to complete work on health care reform and other issues.

Most pundits say that Trumpcare will die. They also say that the ACA will not be repealed.

So you will end up with a health care system being administered by a group that hates it.

What could possibly go wrong?

What we have now is not sustainable, what the GOP is proposing is even less so.
Eventually we will have a single payer system, and beyond that, eventually a system of federal clinics and hospitals.
Because that makes so much sense, there is no way to avoid it in the long run.
In the short run, it's a scramble for the bucks, who can game the system to put the most money in their pocket.
But eventually, even with the wacky government our constitution delivers, we're going to have to do what makes sense.

That is really the only way get the cost out of health care, federally run hospitals. Instead of Medicare for all it will be the VA for all, health care will be dished out like public education, and that will make it cheaper.

Single payer with our present system will always be too expensive, just ask Vermont or California.

There are things that government can do better than the market.
Big social insurance programs is one example.
Big social programs is another.
So that's where we're headed, unless the market figures out a way to deliver better care at a lower cost, and so far, it has not come close.

Government does not deliver quality medical care. It delivers rationed care.

Or the VA for all.

Yeah, single-payer is great. If it's "free" they will come.

Single payer was the plan all along, the problem is, who's going to pay for it. Probably not those anarchistic rioting students from Berkley et. al., it will be paid for by those middle American workers that go to work every day and pay their taxes; the other fifty percent of so called Americans are just parasites living off the sweat of honest folks brows.

And there you go, health care delivered, that's what people want, health care.

They don't want to press their noses up against the glass to watch the wealthy get health care, they want health care.
And the VA delivers the same quality health care as the rest of the American system delivers.
At half the cost.
