CNN was talking about this this morning. The process would go something like this: Trump would tell Rosenstein to fire Mueller. Rosenstein would refuse or threaten to quit. Republicans would throw a hissy.

Trump can’t fire Mueller directly, according to the law that authorizes Mueller’s probe. If he tried, he could set off a chain-reaction that would throw the Justice Department into upheaval.

Only the person acting as attorney general, currently Rod Rosenstein on matters related to the probe, can fire Mueller, and he’s said he won’t do it without “good cause.” So Trump would first have to purge the upper ranks of the Justice Department until he finds someone willing to follow his orders and dismiss the special counsel.
Now Trump MIGHT begin by dismissing Rosenstein, whose political loyalties Trump questioned. The chain reaction?? That's what has previously been called a Saturday Night Massacre.

You have no sense of iron at all, do you?

Of course, I iron all the time, daily in fact. What does that have to do with anything?

Would this process be fairer if Mueller's team were all Republicans?? Had all donated to Trump's campaign??

RNG will correct me if wrong but Iron is the element where fusion stops. Where did gold come from? Colliding neutron stars is the current theory and somewhere out there is a planet made entirely of gold; interesting thought.

Interesting question. But, since that is not the case, another question arises. Has Mueller stacked the deck?

Why was that? If ever a grand jury needed to be called upon, your examples qualify.

Comey was obviously in the Clinton's pocket. And naturally neither the contemptible Holder, nor Lynch, appointed special counsel.

Note too that Mueller, with his cadre of Democrat / Clinton backer lawyers, moved the grand jury to D.C. Hmmm? Race shopping for grand jury members, so obvious.
