Obama administration knew about North Korea's miniaturized nukes

Quote:

Tuesday's bombshell Washington Post story that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has determined North Korea is capable of constructing miniaturized nuclear weapons that could be used as warheads for missiles – possibly ICBMs – left out a crucial fact: DIA actually concluded this in 2013.* The Post also failed to mention that the Obama administration tried to downplay and discredit this report at the time.

During an April 11, 2013, House Armed Services Committee hearing, Congressman Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., inadvertently revealed several unclassified sentences from a DIA report that said DIA had determined with “moderate confidence” that North Korea has the capability to make a nuclear weapon small enough to be launched with a ballistic missile.

The Director of National Intelligence and Obama officials subsequently tried to dismiss Lamborn’s disclosure by claiming the DIA assessment was an outlier that did not reflect the views of the rest of the U.S. Intelligence Community.*

Obama officials tried to downplay the DIA assessment to prevent it from being used to force the president to employ a more assertive North Korea policy.

It was clear what Obama officials were doing in 2013.* The DIA report represented inconvenient facts that threatened President Obama’s North Korea “strategic patience” policy -- a policy to do nothing about North Korea and kick this problem down the road to the next president.* Obama officials tried to downplay the DIA assessment to prevent it from being used to force the president to employ a more assertive North Korea policy.*

It’s worth noting that the Trump White House has not condemned the Washington Post story as a leak.* That’s probably because it was an authorized disclosure of classified information to advance President Trump’s North Korea strategy.* That is, instead of concealing intelligence to avoid taking action against the tough North Korea problem like the Obama administration did, the Trump administration publicized this same intelligence to demonstrate the seriousness of this threat and why decisive action by the United States is required.

It's really mature to blame other people.
I blame Eisenhower for not finishing them off when he had the chance.

a) The reports I've been getting are that NK has A-bombs.

b) The reports I've read indicate the nuclear tests NK has done have been of A-bombs, not H-bombs.

c) If NK / KJU has H-bomb capability, why have there been no reports of any NK H-bomb detonation?

d) If it was known to Obama on his last day in office, why was it not known to Trump on his first day in office?

e) President Obama is widely reported as having briefed President Elect Trump that North Korea will be the Trump administration's biggest initial headache.

f) Why all this U.S.A. in a vacuum protocol.
Are the U.S.A. and NK the only two nations on Earth?
Why hasn't NATO banged this gong yet?

There are several things about this story that don't make sense.
And unless there's a A.Q. Kahn angle to it somewhere, count me a skeptic.

I dont believe any of it besides crazy kim has some rockets that he likes to shoot off into the sea and that previously when je has blown stuff up and babbled about nukes he gets some free stuff if he "cuts it out"

Yours is a good insight Sc.

The NK's have a reputation for such antics in international relations.

NK is a totalitarian Hell hole.

And one of the comical things about their delicately scripted publicity videos is how obviously choreographed they are.
They may think they're fooling U.S.
They're not fooling me.

If you really want some chilling reading Sc, check out

Nuking Pyongyang would be a service to humanity.

It has always made.me wonder why we "care" about the likes of Assad or the other dictators of the week when DRNK is basically a slave state.

I know.
Perhaps this gives us some insight into it:
Quote:
"American people are friends of Liberty everywhere, but custodians only of their own." John Adams
It makes sense to pick the low-hanging fruit first.
Think of it as our foreign policy implementation of the serenity prayer:
Quote:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
SO !!
When we can flick a nut-job in the forehead without shedding any U.S. blood, as Obama did with Quadaffy, we do.

But monsters like the tubby lesbian from North Korea continue to waddle in power.

KJU is a pimple on the @$$ of humanity.

I'll tell you what, don't vote for him.

The US had a deal with North Korea, and we broke the deal.
Do you understand that part?
We didn't deliver what we agreed to deliver.
It's a common theme with US treaties.
Right now Iran is in compliance with the nuclear deal, the US is in violation.

The history of broken treaties goes back to George Washington, and continues almost uninterrupted. It's what we do.
