Those monuments aren't there to honor anyone, they are there to oppress people.
How in the world does an inanimate object oppress anyone? We have come a long way toward ending most racism, all Obama, and all the other useful idiots have done by infusing race into every argument, is set us back, you can argue all you want but it won't change that FACT sir.

Jesse Jackson, Dr. Alan Keyes, and others have run for U.S. president.
None of them could even get their party's nomination.

Barack Hussein Obama not merely ran for president.
I don't recall any political election Obama ever ran for, that he lost.

He was elected into the State legislature in Illinois.
Obama was again elected into the federal legislature in DC.
And Obama was twice elected president; even when he ran against a decorated U.S. military combat veteran, in time of War.

With material that amusing, if you take it on the road, you might end up with your own late night show.

Though antifa are often treated as a new force in American politics since the rise of Trump, the anti-fascist tradition stretches back a century. The first antifascists fought Benito Mussoliniís Blackshirts in the Italian countryside, exchanged fire with Adolf Hitlerís Brownshirts in the taverns and alleyways of Munich and defended Madrid from Francisco Francoís insurgent nationalist army. Beyond Europe, anti-fascism became a model of resistance for the Chinese against Japanese imperialism during World War II and resistance to Latin American dictatorships.

I would imagine that the anti-fascists will stop when the fascists have stopped.

What we are witnessing are "authorities" making that moral determination for the citizens. That is not the job of the "authorities" without the consent of the citizens those determinations affect.
This whole idea of tearing down statues began with statues being torn down by people. So is this really about "self-determination"? I don't think so.

Lol. Then on top of that, none of these so-called participants were even alive when the war was fought.

Say the City Council voted to put up a statue of Hitler, across the street from a Synagogue, would there be a message there?

Say the city council voted to put up a statue to honor someone who had fought to keep you enslaved, would there be a message there? Because most of these "monuments" were put up when the freed slaves were still alive, just to let them know, they shouldn't try to vote...
