I could be wrong, but I thought the statement sounded a little bold, perhaps even boastful. Just pointing out how it sounded, not trying to accuse.

I simply read it in the same way Eph 5:1-2 is written "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you " I think it should be a Christian's goal to walk in love like Jesus loved. It may be a bit bold to say that one is actually doing that, but it's not the same as claiming sinless perfection, which was your initial accusation. Carry on. I'll go back to lurking.

It's called obedience, It also does not mean I won't speak to them about sin just like Jesus did I don't bash people, I talk to them and explain I am a sinner just like them

I see no biblical examples of Jesus calling someone fat and warning him or her that obesity will kill them.

Most often silence is best. Chiding people usually drives them deeper into their imperfections, causes them to build their walls higher.

Inspiring those activities by telling them "the truth" isn't necessarily love, imo.
Thanks from tristanrobin, Asimov and Clara007

That is not how I would handle it either, I would handle it tastefully, and tactfully.

I have never said I was sin free, I recognize my sin, repent and ask for forgiveness. I certainly do not want to push people away from God so would I walk up to say a lesbian and scream at her nope. In fact they would have to bring up the subject or maybe it leads to that conversation!

And how often do you sin, recognize it, repent and ask for forgiveness for the same sin?

That is another bitch I have with organized religion. The fact that it makes people think they can be total assholes, shout the correct version of " I love baby Jeebus" and are all AOK again and again.

When I think of Christ calling out sin, it was almost always aimed at the religious people who thought they were serving God by putting others down. As he reminded the Pharisees, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

This has always been my understanding of the teaching of the Jesus and was one of his core tenets
