Camelot cannot comprehend that he keeps adding 2 + 2 and never comes up with 4.

Limbaugh told listeners to pay attention to the warnings, etc.

And yes, the regressives politicize everything, including natural disasters.

So there is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it. You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic. You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere,” Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday. “All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.

The OP was quite accurate, the transcript they quoted is real......you are just in your usual state of 'Rightwingnut Demented Denial of Reality', you poor anti-truth wacko.

On Tuesday of this week, Rush claimed on his ratpuke radio show for the terminally moronic:
"There is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it," said Limbaugh at that time. His downplaying of the storm's threat immediately drew the ire of 'Today' meteorologist Al Roker. "To have Rush Limbaugh suggest warnings about Irma are fake news or about profit and to ignore them borders on criminal," wrote Roker on Twitter. He then added: "#shameonrush". And in another tweet Roker wrote: "Do not listen to @RushLimbaugh when he says #Irma is not a dangerous #storm and is hype. He is putting people's lives at risk."

I am not a fan of el rushbo and have not listened to him for years and when I did it was for entertainment value. Some of the shit that falls out of his head is priceless.

That being said there is a lot of truth to that statement.

You mean just before he was hustling his fat ass out the door and into his private plane he told everyone to follow evacuation orders? Last year he was claiming that hurricane threats were being exaggerated to claim as evidence of climate change(if that wouldn't cause many of his listeners to ignore storm warnings); supposedly, the NWS would make up or exaggerate storm threats for the purpose of convincing the public global warming is real...but he..in his great wisdom could tell when the NHC meteorologists were lying and when a real storm was coming...roll the clip:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8Y1NGY-LGE
“It’s in the interest of the left to have destructive hurricanes because then they can blame it on climate change, which they can desperately continue trying to sell.”

Limbaugh, a noted conservative talk show host, admitted Hurricane Matthew, currently a Category 4 storm with sustained 140 mph winds barreling toward Florida, was a real threat, but argued it was the first one in a decade.

Rush said the National Hurricane Center, as part of the National Weather Service, was part of an Obama conspiracy designed to perpetuate the global warming myth stared by Al Gore after Hurricane Katrina.

The conservative talk show host said that until Matthew, the U.S. had been in a hurricane drought, according to statements posted on Media Matters.

“We had 11 years of no hurricanes, 11 straight years of no major hurricanes.”

I think Limbaugh's huge earnings from droning on 3 hours a day on the radio, have come his way mostly because up till recently he has been the main "sheepdog" for the Republican Party...in political strategizing in a restrictive two party system, the sheepdog being someone who's job is to keep "strays" from being disillusioned and disenchanted and looking for a fringe candidate to support. The sheepdog...usually refers to a left Democrat or right Republican who's a longshot, but will keep the activists working within the party instead of heading out the door early, looking for third parties to support. The sheepdog always comes back to the pen at the convention to show solidarity with the winner and urge his voters to support the party's choice in the General Election. This was the role expected of Bernie last time around...though he did not seem happy about having to fulfill that role...for good reasons!

But, for the GOP, Rush Limbaugh was an example of a media sheepdog, who's primary job seemed to be to try to keep the hardliners supporting the nominee even if it was a lukewarm candidate like Mitt Romney!

Back when I was listening to Rush regularly in the early 90's, the main threat HW Bush's re-election was a billionaire independent- Ross Perot..who was all over the map politically, but had a lot of core Republican positions that the base really liked. And Perot was taking a chunk out of Bush One..and as feared, led to Bill Clinton beating Bush in 92.

I recall at the time, Limbaugh used to actually talk to other people when he was on the radio...he'd do interviews, but he also took a lot of listener calls. And after he himself crapped all over Bush for being a RINO, he had to push back against his mostly Perot-supporting callers and call on them not to divide the Party...and that Perot could only divide the conservative vote and lead to Democratic victory. That's when I really noticed how calculating his propaganda was...Limbaugh was not as ideological as advertised...but instead was a corporate stooge serving the Republican establishment.

Nowadays, hardly anyone is listening to a.m. radio in their cars cause there's so many other options available with new media, so Limbaugh and other rightwing radio hacks who've benefitted the most from FCC deregulation and the rise of media monopolies, are not as important as they were back then. Now, the gatekeepers are guys like Steve Bannon, who build their own media platforms and imaginary worlds to entertain and misinform followers.

Its right there in your quote of Rush. He is talking about fear and panic created about climate change "causing" hurricanes. You Lefties have an agenda and you are willing to lie and distort in order to achieve it.
