Moral of the story; don't live in Florida where you go to vacation and come back on probation.

When Fredrick hit Mobile in 79, they said, except for the ship channel, you could have walked across the bay. If you're on the west side of the storm the winds are from the north and east and push the water away from the coast. The surge is on the east side of the storms.

Finding the answer to your question is one google away. Why do you refuse to educate yourself?

You mean just scream some communist position then become a favored creature of dtt? Or realize there is no actual explanation as of to why North America has a far greater amount of Tornadoes than anywhere else, even though our weather conditions are not unique to our continent.

But the set-up is unusual, the continent 3,000 miles wide where the US is located, two major oceans to the east and west, with a hot gulf covering the southeastern flank with lotsa warm, moist air, a high mountain backbone bisecting the nation south to north, the Great Plains a crossroad for major seasonal circulatory highs and lows, and lots of just about flat land.

Tornado Alley.
Thanks from RNG and Hollywood

We have our own tornado alley in Ohio which is around Xenia. There has only been one tornado in Brown Township in my life time and it hopped up and down taking one structure and missing the next. That tornado had a short path of six miles and then dissipated. Width of the tornado was about one hundred yards and traveled west to east. Yes, a tornado sounds like a freight train where there are no train tracks.

God's Vengeance? Even England gets a rare but weak tornado but we get kicked in the ass. Package up our tornadoes and ship them to Russia addressed to Putin.

However, Florida is in the Horse Latitudes where the wind can blow from any direction. I forgot all about Fredrick and thanks for reminding me. Hugo I remember because my friends in Georgia went up to Hugo's destruction doing construction work and Betsy I went through. Hugo hit one of the Carolina's and think it was South Carolina.

Tornado Alley.
But that is sort of like science and so isn't going to impact on him.
